Would definitely be interested in Adams if he gets cut and the money is right. We could use a vet in the WR room with Kupp gone, and they're similar players in that they are both older formerly absolute elite WRs that are no longer what they once were but can still contribute. Adams probably is better at this point becuase of he isn't always missing games with injury / playing less effectively often times due to battling through injury when he does suit up. I wouldn't want to trade for him. Leave that contract alone. No real point to trading Kupp's contract or releasing him if we cannot find a trade partner just to take on Adams' contract via trade.

I don't think we have to worry about that. Adams cap hit is even bigger I believe. He's more likely to be cut.

Unlike Kupp, releasing Adams makes a ton of sense for cap relief.

Adams has an insane $38M cap hit in 2025 but the Jets will save almost $30M with a pre-June release.

If Davante Adams wants to take a huge pay cut to about what Demarcus Robinson made this year ($5 million ish) than I'd take him to play in the same role Robinson did this year. That's an upgrade. But he's not a #1 anymore.

I feel like Adams is about to start that career phase where he starts to miss games with injury and bounces between disappearing and occasionally making a few plays.

I feel like FA will go towards finishing the defense.

We’re going to get a very heavy offense/skill position draft this year. That’s the way to go IMO.

Revisit bringing in a veteran at the trade deadline this fall.
