Good Lord. This thread title made me think we made that trade. Which is funny because Jones isn't even on the Vikings currently. Offer Kupp and some kind of draft compensation to get into the 2nd round. Wishful thinking I know, but a future 3rd or 4th could potentially do it? In the 2nd we could get a stud TE or future QB. Worth it to me.

It's not a terrible idea but yeah it can't happen. We could worse than Jones as a cheap #2 and Bennett battling a day 3 pick for the #3 QB spot.

Personally I'd prefer to keep Kupp and see if he has one last hurrah in him. But sadly I don't see him in a Rams uni next season. I don't even know if they'll even be able to trade him with that contract. They might just end up releasing him outright to save a few more cap dollars. I'd be shocked if we got anything more than a day 3 pick. Along with paying some of his contract.

I'm fine with Jones as a backup. Let McVay work with him and see how it goes. Also maybe take a dev type if one lines up midrounds in the draft.
