My prediction is the Rams and Kupp will figure out a way to keep him a Ram unless we sign a really big FA acquisition WR. Hope we find a way to ensure he retires a Ram.

With the misspelling you are either disrespecting Kupp or you need to check your text before hitting post. You are a Rams fan - so respectfully - tighten up Rookie if you want to be taken seriously.
Not trying to disrespect kupp but I think it’s time to move on … I feel Whittington was drafted to feel kupp role … don’t think it would be a good idea to play both together need a more diverse wr room…

Thx. Sorry but I’m sensitive to anyone trashing Rams who pulled us up from the dredges.

Yep - he is as much of a TRUE RAM as there EVER has been. A foresure Rams HOF Player who will have his number at SOFI stadium. It crazy to think these NEWBIE Rams Fans don’t get what this guy has meant to this ORGANIZATION!! He has been with Mcvay the WHOLE WAY.

-unbelievable—-especially when some FREAKING POST were Trade Kupp !! Wtf- look at where The Rams are NOW & Mcvay’s process.

You talk about coaching & Mcvays John Wooden type pyramid !! Even Sean Mcvay holds himself accountable & he has become a BETTER HC because of KUPP & there relationship.Would you trade your own kid ???
—Plus I think he will do what’s best for the Organization,so what’s the question again ???????? NO !!

BTW - you think the WR room would be the same without Kupp & what he has meant to TEAM!!!
He is a TEAM LEADER!! He makes the players around him better.

Is Jordan Whittington the same player with another ORGANIZATION??? Again WTF -

And to ask it now during a PLAYOFF WEEK & possible run to The Super Bowl. This RAMS TEAM is young & HUNGRY !! Did the poster watch last weeks game ?? It’s the system that makes the players.Last year did The Rams have a shot at winning it all ?? I say YES!! That Lion game sure was close.I keep thinking about the opening day game as well.

Let’s at least enjoy Kupp & The Rams this week.End of March is a long ways away.

Kupp first 9 games played this year

63 catch 657 yards 6 Td
He’s dinged up but far from finished.

Yup! He looked incredible early on. He has not looked the same since injury. Speed and acceleration is shot. He cannot break tackles now, make guys miss, get as much separation. The problem is, he has always been injury prone, and with age it will only get worse and when he does get injured they will impact him more and more. He is still a WR1 when healthy. He sure played like it early in the season. But we cannot rely on him to function at that level anymore. He's more of a WR3 on his current form. Hopefully the time off last week gets him back to top shape.

That’s fine - was just watching a couple Rams games last season. My thoughts about AD99 are a little different, but still over the years is it worth it ?

As for The Rams & you maybe done with this topic ! It’s a free country as of now,and that’s another topic, because what is free ? It’s seems the opposite to me when your not held accountable. So the subject of 2 HOF Rams.I’d say AD99 is a first ballot HOF player even before a Big Whit.Seeing them win a Super Bowl in Horns was awesome. Kupp was The MVP though !!
Is Kupp as good as Tory Holt ? Both excellent Rams !! You say as you want ?

I’ll say for NOW 2024 season has not ENDED even if the calendar has changed.Let’s see what Cooper Kupp does to at least finish the season.

& for that I would have just now gone off w/ this & that. I’ll just keep it at that !! I like this Rams young Defense & the growth of the players.I saw a EJ53 Sack from last season. He was an EXCELLENT RAM !! So there is that ME or TEAM,but at what point do you play hard or they get rid of you. Is there a cover up on an injury during camp, are things said behind closed doors that maybe a player expresses but doesn’t mean ?
I don’t know, but Kupp is a special RAM & always will be.He was(is) more WE than AD99 ever was,but then again what a TEAM PLAYER & LEADER in The END !! He did give it all he had & knew when his time was up.
Puka is the better player & Kupp has seen his better days.I’ll keep beating the drum because Kupp is not done yet & his LEGACY is on the line. We’ll see - which sort of pisses me of when a TEAM is right where you want them to be,but that’s not good enough.Like a RAM FAN counting the loss already.I asked this one guy this week what he thought, before the fires. He said thumbs down & I shook my head & thought WOW !! Like I said we all have our own thoughts.
-Go Rams !!

win or not Monday Rams could restructure his contract and keep him on the team, then he could retire a ram. I would be ok with that. he is a ram that earned respect coming out of left field as he did. his star shown bright when we needed it most. only the best of wishes to Kupp tomorrow. Go Rams! p.s. he could retire on his money made so far at a young age. lucky guy.

Per the cap sites and the detail of Kupp's contract, the smart move may be to do nothing.

Kupp has a big cap hit for 2025 but the Rams are in good cap shape overall. Releasing him or trading him would be cold in my opinion; and would result in significant Dead-$. So let him play 2025.

In 2026, Kupp still has a big cap hit but not much guaranteed-$. The Rams could release him (he would be 33), or he could decide to retire. There would be almost $20M in cap relief, with just $7.5M in Dead-$. Releasing him would still be cold in my opinion but if Kupp wanted to continue to play, the Rams could allow him to leave to sign where ever be wanted (he earned that); or the Rams could try to negotiate a reasonable deal, should he want to retire with the Organization.

I noticed with kupp since puka has become so strong in the games he has taken a bitter side on things. All the interviews, the way he looks on the sidelines and when he's in the games seems like he's always pissed off or very depressed.I think he is not wanting to be here anymore which is sad plus injuries hasn't helped his gameplay.Mcvay needs to sit down with him and ask what the fuck is wrong and if he needs a new start with another team.Just my take on what I'm seeing.Go Rams

That's a TON of speculation on your part ... but, who knows.

Personally, I do NOT see any of that ('bitterness ... always pissed-off ... depressed ... not wanting to be here').

Have you noticed Kupp's effort on blocking? If a wide receiver was feeling any of those emotions, would he be giving such a full and maximum physical effort with blocking? Just my opinion.

If you’re a Rams fan and have watched Kupp - you can count on one hand the times he celebrated after a great catch or TD. He’s just not a rah rah guy.
I’m sure he’d like to contribute more but I’m not drinking the bitter/pissed/depressed kool-aid. And the “just my take” snippet doesn’t lesson the shade you threw his way.

Take a look at a video of him when he won theSB MVP he looked like completly unenthused.
I think he just has a resting sad face.

I don't think his attitude has soured at all - but he does not seem to be constantly open like he used to be. My guess is either he is not fully healthy or age is catching up to him. He is not old at 31 - but he ain't young either - not for an NFL WR. And I think the difference between breaking open and being covered is so small in this league that losing the slightest edge can turn a triple crown guy into just a guy. Still - I'm glad he will be out there for us tonight and I would love to see him turn in one of his 14-180-3 games.
