I'm starting to question whether I want OBJ back.

How quickly we turn on the players. :eyeroll:
No one is turning on him. Just pointing out how pointless it is to air out contract negotiations in public. I'd rather we sign him for a deal that works for both sides. It's pretty obvious why it hasn't happened.

It's crazy people are even comparing the two. Kyler has faded late in seasons, been horrible in the playoffs, been a bad leader and has terrible body language on the field. Multiple reports have come out about his leadership issues. OBJ has been a great fit and teammate since he got here. He was a huge piece which lead to a SB win and we don't win the SB without him that is a fact. The guy said today he loves LA and wants to be here, he just wants a legit offer. Not a 1 yr incentive based BS lowball offer which is what we obviously gave him. There's no way he's asking for top of the market WR money, the tone of his tweet was playful during a back and forth with Deebo.
Kyler was an MVP candidate as late as week 10 last year. An ascending player. The Rams broke him.

OBJ was wallowing away in Cleveland. A markedly declining player. The Rams saved him.

To say that the comparison is unfair is.... Not fair.

The Rams want OBJ back and will (IMO) make a fair offer. We will see what happens, but it's not like the Rams have a ton of expendable capital....

Dude me made one comment on social media to a friend of his and was just being honest. Made sure to compliment the Rams and say he loved and wanted to stay in LA.

You think that's the same as scrubbing ALL your social media platforms of anything AZ Cardinals related? Then having your agent prepare a formal 300 word document and release it to the media stating how you 'need' a commitment from the franchise. All while going dark and not communicating with AZ leadership and sparking tons of trade rumors? The two incidents aren't even close and its laughable that one tweet by OBJ gets put in the same category as all the shit Kyler pulled this off-season.

because you are attempting to make something out of potentially nothing your heiness.
Potentially nothing means potentially something. Hence…a reasonable issue to discuss.

I think only the fans are making too much of it. It's no big deal to them. If he wants it that bad then buy it back. No freaking big deal. Also, as reported by Jourdan he agreed when he signed last year that Cam would get 3.

OBJ will probably sign Tuesday.

Kyler Murray just made an even spectacle and still stayed in AZ. This is just how negotiations go in the league these days.
Yeah I think this is a fair point.

I don't care for crying on twitter about something like this. To me a man would handle his shit face to face if the guy is ducking you. But the world's changing. Get off my lawn and all that I guess.

Again though I like Odell. I think his heart is in the right place, unlike say DJax. But he does need to tone it down a bit, the Rams once again don't do drama.

If he’s healthy and on a one year deal I’d love me some OBJ, wary of anything long term with his knee/age.

When reading Twitter, read all tweets and subtweets so you don’t take them out of context.

If you look at all of his tweets with Deebo, he admits he’s just having fun.

OBJ is one of the most liked superstars in the NFL with the largest following. One of the reasons is due to the fact that he interacts with fans on twitter and is vulnerable. He brings new fans and money to any team he’s on, so you have to accept that he tweets often. He’s not talking shit on Twitter don’t worry about it or over analyze.

I want him back, our offense is better with him on the field. By the time the season starts, whatever was posted on Twitter in April will be long forgotten.

Beckham caring what number Akers is wearing is a good thing. At least that means he still wants to be back in LA.

Exactly. LA is his only choice. It's all about agreeing to a money amount.

How could any Horns fan not! want the man with the Spiderman sticky fingers back? Do you want to see the NFL's very best defenses reduced to shambles next playoffs? Field Matthew at QB, Cooper, Allen, & OBJ at WR, HigBeast leading our rising TE group, and Cam & Hendo coming out of the backfield for passes. Let the LA offense roll up commanding leads, allowing AD99, Bobby Wagner and Co. to pin their ears back and lead a Rampaging pass rush to annihilate all opposing offenses! Rinse and repeat for 2023 and 2024!!! Quadruple-peat anyone?

The Rams are built on a certain kind of culture and it involves character. If you don’t understand that then you haven’t been paying close enough attention.

The Rams signed Allen Robinson for a reason. This is why. He gave them security in case OBJ’s head got too big. He’s coming off a knee injury and he sees what a few receivers are getting and wants a ‘Real Contract’. He hasn’t had Tyrique Hill type numbers since he entered the league. A prove it deal is in order, or at least an incentive deal. Letting Akers have the number is genius. It shows OBJs true colors.
at least an incentive deal.

I dont care who OBJ trolls on Twitter as long as we re-sign him and he continues to make catches like he did last year. And by all accounts, the other players loved having him in the locker room.

I think this is a much of nothing. Slow news day when you don't pick until 104 eh

Not a fan of signing a hurt player with no idea of when or if, he can come back 100%. I'd like him back too, but not until he's ready.
