I appreciate the numbers but don't see Bruss's numbers as meaningful at all nor Mclendon's really as I can only go by the one game where he replaced Havenstien,
My rewatching of the game had McClendon looking pretty dang good.
I'm not interested in lower grades they got earlier in their career which is pulling their average down.

I'm looking at where they rank as a UNIT the last three games which we've won.
I'm guessing that they do go with Jonah Jackson at LG. However he's one player that is consistently injured like no boom so call me less than impressed.
McClendon DID look good in his start at RT; however, he was lost in his start at LT. Clearly, he is more comfortable on the right side—and that’s ok.

Noteboom, therefore remains the best option as the backup LT—and that is problematic.

Avila is better than what we have (including Jackson) at LG.
But, he should also be better than Limmer at C.
Dedich has been a great surprise at LG and has secured a roster spot going forward....but, I don't know if he is at Jacksons' level just yet.
One thing for sure, his paycheck is not, so, when they come back they will both start and Bruss will likely head to the PS.
I don't think you mess with what's been working. I say leave Limmer alone...the guy is SOLID! These darn "grades" mean nothing to me..I grade with my eyeballs. Limmer is getting it done...DON'T MESS WITH THE CONTINUITY YOU HAVE!

Ok but we have two guys better than him possibly ready to go this week. If they’re ready, you have to play them and he becomes solid depth.

Seattle's front 7 are ok. Make no mistake. We barely survived. There is a difference between surviving and living. The Rams have some really good Ds ahead and if you hope for playoffs we need our starters. Our D isnt that consistant and less than 20 points a game out of our O is not my idea of working. I want to live, not survive

Limmer is the future at center. Jackson should be gone next year. He can warm the bench after Avila comes back.
Who is to say that future doesn't start in 2026 though? Given Jonah Jackson's contract, they would have a lot of dead money and very little in cap savings to cut or trade him next year. It's doubtful he's gone next year.

If both JJ and Avila are healthy, they play over Limmer. However, we have the luxury of not forcing things with Limmer playing solid. So you wait until both are 100% and ready for a full game and the weekly pounding. I’m guessing the most healthy/ready one (JJ?) takes over LG Monday - giving the other one an extra week of rest and practice for getting into game shape.

limmer has not given up sacks or pressures , but he also has graded below average in nearly every game.

Going to guess he can't run block.
He has been consistent, though, with nobodies next to him at LG. Center is strongly affected by guard quality but there have been games where you could argue that Limmer may have helped Bruss and Dedich.

Jackson is a higher level of player, but at Guard. He is not a guy with recent examples of high level play at the pivot. So it is no guarantee that he will unseat Limmer immediately. I imagine he will need to demonstrate in practice this week that he is better. It is not just about him being paid so he plays.

So you let them work their way into starting, you don't just kick Limmer to the side. You also recover depth...but you don't upset the applecart when what you have has been working. Those guys coming back are gonna get snaps...and if they eventually beat a guy out for a spot, so be it.

Again, you don't mess with what's been working, the continuity, the communication, the synchronization, of the present Oline is very good!!! 1 Sack in the Raiders game with 144 passing/115 rushing, zero sacks in the Vikes game, with 279 passing/107 rushing, and zero sacks in the Seahawks game with 298 passing/ 68 yards rushing.

WHY WOULD YOU MESS WITH THAT???

Because your vision for a run game that absolutely MASHES the other team doesn't work yet with Limmer, imo. As good as he's been.. and he's been good.. he's not a guy that's getting much movement in the run game. That being said.. I think in a year or two.. his strength will be there.

You can credit some of those sack numbers to Stafford being a wizard. He's done his part to slip out of a handful of would be sacks.

I don't think that's the issue. What I see is McVay not adjusting the run game like he should. Before Seattle, he was steady running Williams in the middle. Very seldom did he run him wide. It was the Seattle game, where he finally ran Williams wide and that's where Williams got most of his yardage. Before that we see him running Williams inside time after time...as if opponents don't see that. Williams can get yards many ways and McVay needs to employ that. Otherwise he's just getting Williams beat up over time.

The Seattle game is equally the first game where McVay rolled Stafford out more times thatn any of the previous games combined...and it's good that he saw it. Perhaps in the future he do more of it. Seattle was determined not to let the Rams run inside and also collapse the pocket around Stafford. It's great McVay adjusted. That's how I see it.

Jackson has 11.3 dead money in 2025 and another 3 years under contract, so he’s not going anywhere.
Exactly.

Jonah Jackson's deal was structured almost identically as Kevin Dotson's deal.

Jackson carries a big $14.7M cap hit in 2025. Releasing him saves a mere $3.3M, with $11.3 of Dead-$.

2026 is the out-year when he has a whopping $22.7M cap hit. Jackson can be released before the 2026 season, and the Rams would get $17M of cap relief, with $5.7M of Dead-$.

In the case of Dotson, his 2025 cap hit is almost $18M. While the cap relief if the Rams let him go is a decent $6.6M, it also carries $11.3M of Dead-$. Again, 2026 is the out-year, when the Rams could get $17M of relief, with just $1.4M of Dead-$ if they move-on.

Certainly, anything is possible but the most likely scenario is that Dotson and Jonah Jackson stick with the Rams in 2025. If the Rams want to retain either (or both) beyond then, they would likely seek a re-structure / extension.
