Which would make sense if the defense was performing at a level nearly as bad as the offense.

It’s not.
Colt McCoy completed nearly 70% of his passes... with no turnovers and was rarely touched.

wolford is like a lot of back up QBs - he can throw 3-10 yard passes fine.

But down the field he has no accuracy.
but he watches lots of film and he’s first one in the building and last to leave…

I'm not sure what McVay sees in Wolford, but if it's anything, it's his ability to make plays while out of the pocket, yet he was forced to throw in a collapsing pocket most of the game. The plays where he scrambled were the ones we actually moved down field. Just all around a terrible game plan for the oline and qb we had to work with. The "creative" plays calls with Perkins were anything but creative and the fakes for the qb to run took way too long to develop.

On the positive side, Williams looked good in the limited time he was in there. If he can stay healthy and turns out to be what Akers was supposed to be, I feel that will open up the offense alot more. That and adding some talent on the oline this off-season.

Rams need to draft a QB next year and sign one too....Enough of the little engine that can't and IMO, Perkins can't throw either.

3rd and 17 in the 3rd qtr Rams down by 7 - what happened? How did the Cardinals gain 14 yards on a short pass to the right and allow them to go for it on 4th and 3?

I missed the play and won't have all 22 until tonight.

Did someone miss a tackle? Or....

I didn't watch since I was at work but my guess was Morris had the DBs give a big ass cushion and someone missed a tackle. 2 for 1 special on how to fuck up if true.

Also have a serious question about that third and long play just because I didn't watch. Do we ever blitz on a third and long situation to force the QB to throw the ball much earlier than they want with some kind of man press coverage mixed into it?

Well The Rams got really lucky last season. In a way they were ALL IN!!

Tutu Atwell & Lance Bruss we’re not excellent picks.I will say I ALWAYS circle a player who is better than what Les Snead & Sean Mcvay select.
I’ve blown smoke up there(you know what) appreciating there draft picks.
They do an awesome job developing players.
-/The Rams need to find a young EDGE Rusher to develop.

The O’Line will be better because of all the innings 2023.

Who is the Backup QB in the future.
I'll take a lucky Lombardi.

Well, that is what we got. There always has to be a little luck involved no matter what.

A lot of players posters want to criticize including myself that stepped up when they needed.

I really like HENDO as an extra RB. - B. Hopkins made a lot of plays as well. I like Troy Reeder & think he helped last season, but Ernest stepped up.

Eric Weedle though just really was the reason The Rams won it all. If Taylor Rapp wasn’t injured,The Rams never make that call.
The Rams 2021/22 Super Bowl will have at least 5 HOF players.

Vent. We suck this year and not sure I want to win another game, or play Stafford or Kupp again.

I will say thank god we did not get CMC, and glad OBJ is off the table, which he better be.

Ain’t our year boys - shit happens - and yes, it was worth it.

The only vent I have is if it’s not fucking working, change it up, which neither Mcvape nor Morris is trying.

And totally agree, Wolford shouldn’t be on an NFL roster, and not sure Perkins should either.
Neither

At this point, everything should be considered. From my view, this Rams team has a lot of holes.

I'm sure but again you can't just throw away the players there that are the nucleus and or even trade them unless there are clauses we are unaware of. So you either do a retool on the fly and pray for health or you clean house. Can't have both.

Even with a rising cap, they're incredibly tight AND don't have a lot of contracts to play with. We'll see if they get REALLY crazy and sign extensions that will absolutely mean dead money down the road in order to open space up next season.
I agree they always pull rabbits out but if it was just AD then yea but with Stafford Kupp Ramsey ARob not sure how Wagner contract set up and Floyd but it's either a tare down or a retool on the fly. That's why I don't for see a change on philosophy entirely. Can't be in between with these players and also not knowing if the coach is truly tied to them or not.

Its gonna be an interesting offseason. Do they think they have enough of a roster to make a run next season? Maybe just need a couple missing pieces?

Honestly, I have doubts. A number of core players are getting older. Some key players will be free agents. Mainly Gaines and A'Shawn Robinson. We need an overhaul on the offensive line. One of the missing pieces we will need is a legit running back. Another is edge rusher. Its pretty obvious we need an upgrade at backup quarterback.

I'm not sure we have the resources to fill all those needs. No first round pick. We might be picking top 40 in the draft. There likely won't be any immediate impact rookies by then. Maybe Snead should work his magic and try to pick up an extra day 2 pick by moving down. Not sure I'd give up a second for more day 3 picks.

I agree they are not going to go away from the core players. The Rams made heavy investments and have too much dead cap to move away from them. I believe they have reached a point where they can't buy free agents to fill holes. They don't have many draft picks in 2023 to help either.

Do they keep trading future draft picks (2024 and 2025) to fill in the holes?

The Rams need to solidify the offensive line, get AD more help with the pass rush and improve the DB positions. McVay and Snead have a lot of work to do.

That's why I said earlier I feel if they stay with the core then yes you need to find the money which they usually do but cap increase and maybe take away .

I think it's a tough tough position but to be good again besides health off-season needs a
-LT similar to when big whit came
- and an edge

i don't think that's a killer that can't b overcome I do believe there is some sort of wiggle also with noteboom who I think will be cut don't know about Floyd. Will need to see how everything unfolds I'm sure there is some language somewhere that allows for this moment. If not it's two forks completely rebuild or continue as planned

Wolford....36 pass attempts....says it all.
MartzVay refuses.....just refuses to run the ball.
Akers the leading rusher yesterday with 22 yards. Didn't see how many carries.

To-date the running game is too damn inefficient to lean on. It's the NFL, you can't abandon it but FFS what are you supposed to do when it flat out doesn't work?
