I figured that's what happened and that is probably my biggest issue with Morris and his defense
If he would play his CBs in his typical first and 10 soft zone defense, we would get the tackle way before the first down marker and force the team to punt.
But no - we give up a play that is close to a first down and allows the them to try for it on 4th down. Both times those plays lead to a Cardinal score. First one was a TD and the other one was a FG.
If Morris would just change his defense a little on these 3rd down and 10 and longer, my complaints about the defense would probably cut in half. The other complaints would be playing aggressive on 3rd and 3 or shorter.
