Turner. Easily Turner. He's the lynchpin behind our defensive line, is out in every situation, probably our best run-stuffer even including Poona Ford, and he's younger. And it's easier to replace good-to-great edge rushers than it is to replace a dominant defensive lineman, and the class for edge rushers is stupid deep this year. Like, insanely good.
And I guarantee that we'll get at least a little more than a first, especially if Young gets close to the league lead in sacks. I'm just saying that it might be smarter to choose prioritizing our other defensive lynchpins (and Nacua for offense) and let Agent Zero go.
We also still have to sign Landman, and judging by Zach Baun' s deal with the Eagles and accounting that Landman is younger and has been arguably as productive in his free agent year as Baun, we might have to spend sixteen/seventeen-million-per-year for three or four years to sign him.
We might even have to let Lake or McCreary go into free agency; can't guarantee we sign everyone, and Nacua and Turner should be our number one and two priorities for next year.
Hmm...I might actually make a mock offseason.
