It's a tough call, but I chose 'stay' because I'm really thinking that QB needy teams will reach, & then an actual difference maker falls out of the top 20. Sprinkle in a run on WR's and a really good CB will fall -- or vice versa, a run on the CB's and a WR will fall to us.
But if there is NO run on the QB's, and all the top 20 stay above #25, I'm hoping then that we trade down.
Any of these top 20 picks would be amazing at 26:
Simmons
Barron
Egbuka
Omarion
Loveland

Early on I said give up the farm for Jeanty. I still think that getting Jeanty would do the most to upgrade both sides of the ball. Of course that won't happen.
So, I think the Rams would benefit the most by trading out of the 1st for a 2nd and 3rd. 4 of the top 100 would be my preference.

If you could trade down just one spot, do you really want to pick Dart there?
I don't spend enough time on player evaluations to answer that. But if the Rams think he can be the guy, I'm all in on taking a QB of the future in that pick range.

With a draft that's more about depth than top end talent, I'd say trade for draft capital next year. A trade down into the 2nd round this year for a 2nd in next years draft could be nice.

And then I wouldn't be opposed to trying to move back up in the 2nd with lower draft capital from next year if there's a guy we really like.

Guys like Mason Taylor, Arroyo, AZ Thomas, Trey Henderson, A Ersey, Maxwell Hairston, Ben Morrison, Milroe , Jaylin Noel could all be there.

Preferred scenario, not likely though.

Hey Folks. New member here. Totally trust McVay/Snead's decision making, but we're all here to pretend we are them - so here's my thoughts:

Similar to a previous post - trade up for Jeanty. I get it will cost a lot. I get that we already have a very good back. I get that there are tons of quality RBs in every draft. But the goal is to win the Super Bowl. He is the only player in the whole draft that takes us from a very good team to a team that can win the Super Bowl this year, imo. It also is a position that is having a resurgence in its importance due to everyone dropping back extra DBs to stop the pass. I don't see any other player in this draft that would help us more this year. Jeanty could put the Rams over the top the way Saquon put the Eagles over the top last year. I say do whatever you can to win the Super Bowl this year while we still have a Super Bowl winning QB and before we have to worry about paying all our d-line talent. We can worry about next year - next year.

Didn't they just spend a ton of money on interior OL help? They're not desperate for that anymore.

Fair enough. Then they probably trade up for Hampton if he falls to us.

They may be interested in trading up but the trade you proposed is like a 25% premium on the trade chart...in the Rams favor of course. It's not realistic.

What I want to happen:

Stay put and draft Egbuka, Golden, Barron, or Simmons.

What I expect to happen:

A trade up for a TE who falls - Loveland or Warren - or a QB - Dart, Sanders, or Milroe.

Snead likes going against the grain for market inefficiencies so with everyone wanting to trade down, trading up may be cheaper.

Honestly this year more than any other trading up seems a terrible idea. And trading up for a RB seems to make it even worse. We can get two or three impact players with those picks and be better off.

Not a big fan of trading up, If 1 of your projected contributors or a QB you love isn't there move down. I like Golden @ 26 maybe a CB but 3 even 4 could be gone and the 4th+ rated on my board wouldn't be my top choice I would rather drop a little and add a pick. Golden would add an instant impact.

BPA unless it's close then tie goes to position of need (CB, TE, LB).

Open to trade up if a top-10 player slides 10 spots or to trade down for multiple picks of equivalent value within the 27-75th pick range.

Welcome to ROD! I don’t necessarily hate drafting a RB1 but I think O. Hampton is every bit as good and could be had for less draft capital.

Welcome dude!

I don't agree but love that you're already swinging for the fences. If you're gonna trade up for someone, make it a special player. He's special.

It really does sound like the Saints have put a TON of work in on Dart. I would expect him to go there at nine now.

Question then is Sanders floor the Steelers? I think Browns play it patiently and grab Milroe or Shough top of 2nd.

Yes. I'd say somewhere near Pittsburgh would be his floor.

I do see a world where Sanders falls and the Giants, Browns, and the Rams (collective board shudder) are in play to jump the Steelers for him.

I would not be shocked if Rams too Sanders at 26 if he's there, hard time seeing them trade up.
