I really don't care what approach they take. But personally I think jumping ahead of Pittsburgh to take Dart would be our best option, assuming he's on the board which he should be. Then QB is good and we have a young stud to sit behind Stafford and learn.

Rest of the way a couple players I really love are RB Martinez (round 3 range) and ILB Martin (later rounds). But RB doesn't have to be round 3, they can find another cookie cutter McVay scatback in late rounds.

Feels like one of those round 3 types could be a TE, or maybe they jump from round 3 to get one of them. Corner would be nice too. Whatever happens should be a fun draft to watch this year.

know you're a Burden fan but from what I'm hearing about the character stuff and down to down effort, sure sounds like he's not worth it

Character is bullshit, speaking as a Mizzou fan who has paid attention to LB3's career from the start. If anything, he's like OBJ in terms of character, and McVay more than made it work with him. Down-to-down effort is a concern, but he's never been asked to block at Mizzou, since most of the touches went to him.

I can't think of any worse result than trading up in the 1st especially for a TE or RB.

Give me Arroyo, Fannin or Ferguson later and we're very well off.

Trade #26 overall and #101 overall to the Chicago Bears for #39 overall and #41 overall. Take Quinshon Judkins and Luther Burden III with those picks.

Profit.
I like this trade down a lot, not necessarily the options you took. I'd be good with Burden, but, IMO, I wouldn't take a RB. Arroyo, M.Taylor, or the best MLB/CB I think would have a much greater impact on this season. I do like Judkins and think hes a good back, but, I also think we already have 2 good backs.

Would it be better if we traded K-Will for a third-round pick in this class?

Thinking Fannin is an option as well.

So character is bullshit (I take this to mean you don't care about his mental and emotional makeup), down to down effort is a concern and he hasn't been asked to block...

I think you've said it all.

I'm saying character is bullshit. I don't know where they're coming up with character concerns for LB3, but he's been a model citizen at Mizzou, and he's worked his ass off to get where he is today, in the weight room, in the film room, etc., and his coaches and teammates rave about his character. Is he a diva? Sure, a bit, but you could've said the same thing about damn near every receiver that's come out, including OBJ, D-Jax, etc., and McVay hasn't shown a hesitance to pick them up.

But on his talent? He doesn't drop targets thrown to him, and he's had the most amount of passes thrown to him at the Division 1 level other than McMillan. Game-breaking speed and YAC. Would you throw to anyone else when the talent isn't there? He hasn't been asked to block because if Brady Cook/Drew Pyne didn't throw to him, it was to Theo Wease on the other side. He blocked on running downs, obviously, even though it isn't his strength.

I'm not saying LB3 doesn't have flaws, but he's one of my favorite receivers to come out of Mizzou in some time for a reason, and I think the "character concerns" (and remember, Micah Parsons had supposed "character issues") have been overblown to a ridiculous degree. Take it from someone who has followed his entire career: his character is not to the point where it's a concern.

Hahaha... who's gonna trade a third for KW when the draft class has life 12-15 potential starters.

I'm not saying the bottom-feeder teams. I'm talking about someone like Denver or Kansas City that could use a solid veteran.

I don't want a guy who takes plays off like he does and doesn't run more than 2 routes.

My not very spicy take is he's def not a 1st round talent and I would not be surprised if a number of WR's go before him and he drops to the third.

Appreciate the Mizzou love though.

If Chicago would be that foolish do it. Just dont see it unless they want someone like OHampton real bad and they r available at R1.26.

Or if Zabel is still on the board; Chicago is desperate for O-line help, and they should be.

ABSOLUTELY. I'd take that offer in an instant. Then I'd be all over a back in this draft. We would escape from having to sign a large extension and, honestly, I think there are several back in this draft that can give us similar production, potentially better. Not to mention, I'm still high on Corum.
