Let's shock the world and draft Shiloh Sanders in round 1!

I like the thought of L.Burden III being a Ram. Whenever that could happen.

Trade #26 overall and #101 overall to the Chicago Bears for #39 overall and #41 overall. Take Quinshon Judkins and Luther Burden III with those picks.

Profit.
I would love that trade because there would be no reason why the Rams could not draft:
#39 Taylor (TE)

True, but I was planning on Fannin at #90, with maybe a cornerback with a K-Will trade.

If Chicago would be that foolish do it. Just dont see it unless they want someone like OHampton real bad and they r available at R1.26.
Maybe THATS the draft thread we need:
Who’s gonna want to trade for the #26 pick and why?
I get that trading down is a great option, but I don’t know why/who wants to do it for the #26 pick.

Trade down to get a 2nd rounder and at least one other extra pick, but only after we see how the draft has unfolded up to the time we are supposed to pick. I might say stay put if the Michigan TE fell to #26.

That being said, if they could come up with a reasonable package to go get Warren at TE, I wouldn't complain.

Dammit, I want a stud TE. I want opposing DCs saying "Oh fuck, we've got to defend him too???"

Would love this if possible. A top WR on a rookie deal would probably allow us to keep Davante Adams next year, even at his price. He will be due a $28M cap hit or $14M dead cap. If he still produces we could have on helluva WR trio for 2 years, probably aligning with Staffords timeline.

Would it be better if we traded K-Will for a third-round pick in this class?

Thinking Fannin is an option as well.
If we could get a 3rd for Kyren Williams that would be amazing, IMO. Got to remember, whoever trades for him also has to pay him.

I saw one scenario that I liked where we traded down just one spot, got a third and picked Dart.

:pointup:My thoughts too. I voted trade down.

That said, if the Rams have someone they like at #26... I'd love for that person to be there for them. We pick far enough back the draft could fall funny.

My gut says we pick.

I was in camp Bowers last year. Something different for McVay to use in schemes.

I doubt they can trade back. So I took stay.

1. Player I would like them to draft if he’s available - Jihad Campbell.

2. Player I think they will draft - Emeka Egbuka. Snead said they want players that can contribute right away. Egbuka can do that and the receiver room is very thin.

3. If Egbuka is gone then Corner Trey Amos

If you could trade down just one spot, do you really want to pick Dart there?

Maybe it’s me, but it seems like every year the QBs keep rising and just aren’t that good—it’s needs based.
I’m really unsettled or unconvinced that there is a QB in this draft that I think could be the future of this org.

Am I just spoiled after seeing a seasoned, top tier QB like Stafford?

:woozy2:Look, if we're going to shock the world, lets draft Cooper Sanders, the lesser known of the 3 Sanders brothers, and a REAL sleeper with the mouth of Deion, the footspeed of Shitter, and the spending habits of mama Sanders!

Seriously though, seeing the power and electricity of Jeanty now in person for 3 years, he is THAT special, and I maintain that in the right system (Like the Los Angeles Rams!) he would be a huge difference maker.

I would love to package Kyren, and #26 and move up to #5 to nab him, but we would surely also have to throw in some more draft capital. I'm not expert in that formula.

Having said that, I would be thrilled with a dynamic TE, corner, or bad-ass ILB to contribute to this years Super Bowl champs.

I would be seriously disappointed if this is what the Rams did.

And no to trading Kyren. With one year left on his contract they’d be lucky to get a 5th round pick for him.

Just think back to when we struggled to find a QB. Granted McVay should be better at finding our next QB when needed, but likley it would be a recycled vet and or a nominal rookie talent being forced to play too soon. So I can see the value of taking a guy like Dart and letting him benefit by being around Stafford for a few years. So when the time comes he could step and hit the ground running as opposed to throwing a rookie into the fray in his first year.

I’ve been stuck on Josh Simmons for a while. I think he id available at 26 and we are too light at OT now and near future. No one on the roster can step in and play 4-6 games and keep Stafford healthy. Simmons can play both sides and could be the future ROT. Not as sexy as WR or but if Big Rob goes down we’re toast.

It's only my opinion but I don't see the Rams drafting a QB in the first round unless McSnead sees a Kurt Warner out there. The Rams are set at QB with high hopes for a super bowl run. I'm ok with a QB in the 3rd round or later that can be groomed and learn the system. Or as someone said, a young QB who can run trick plays once in a while.

Aside from that, the Rams have a few weak spots that need upgrades and I see the Rams addressing those issues.

Yeah, he would be tough to pass on. Thought of as a top 10 talent had he not gotten hurt this year.

I don't see a trade for 2026 because we are win now.

I don't like staying put because same level prospects can be taken a bit later.

Trade up is costly but a few spots if a Josh Simmons or Kelvin Banks Jr. is in striking distance would be worth it.

We are hosed if Hav/Jack go down and also need that tackle as soon as next year if Hav Hangs it up.

Amos or Revel are tempting but I wonder if they are a better fit in a heavy man scheme.

If we can't find a trade partner up or down I would probably take Burden who gives us an explosive weapon or I take Zabel and put him at center to highly upgrade our Oline. Our centers are the weakest spot. Upgrade that spot and watch the Offense take off.

Stay put and take Barron or Amos.
That's what I would do - stay at 26 and take the highest CB on our board.

Why? Because our starting CBs are arguably the weakest part of the team at the moment. Yes, it would be nice to have a developmental QB or OT, but if we are "all-in" this year, we need the starting lineup to be as strong as possible, so that means strengthening the biggest area of weakness: the cornerbacks.

If his health checks out, I prefer Benjamin Morrison to Barron (who projects more as a slot than an outside CB) or Amos, but it's whoever the Rams rate highest that counts.

The only way I trade down is if we pick up a high (33-40) second and third (or a 2026 first, although that's highly unlikely) - we might be able to still get our CB towards the top of the second round.
