Actually, if he lost a little weight, I actually think he could be a Bruschi type in a 3-4. I know I'd give him the chance. Guy's a solid football player. He's a guy you work with.

yeah I agree our passing attack doesn't keep df honest. last year we ran that jet sweep a lot most of the time we just faked it this year it is hardly used. I think it does a couple things it negates some blitzs and gives the df someone else to think about besides gurley. also if we could run a decent screen pass and roll the pocket once in a while it would help the ol.

Stafford is an example of Cooter's excellence, going from a CAREER 85ish rating to over 100 under his tutelage.

Only things that give me pause with Jim Bob is how quickly he's risen, and the fact that they did add some nice wideout pieces for him. Or was the addition of the wideouts partially because he beat the table for them?

OK - So the answer was Glenn Davis. Glenn won the Heisman trophy in 1946 after a stellar college career which included being named All-American in each of his years at West Point. He was the Heisman runner up the two seasons prior to winning the award. While still in the Army, Glenn tore a ligament in his knee while making a movie about his college career. Despite his injury, and the three years away from football, he joined the Rams in 1950 and was named to the Probowl after his rookie year.

Not just Harbaugh. All of the top coaches get the best players when they coach at a preferred school. Compare the classes. Some schools recruit themselves, like Notre Dame and Stanford (if you have the grades). Is there coaching involved? Sure. Is there evaluation involved sure. But Harbaugh had a very good team this year and it was mostly made up of Brady Hoke's recruits. So, I guess now that Brady Hoke is one of the great talent evaluators too. Harbaugh, Saban, and Meyer can all coach. I am not saying that. But winning in college football is 75% about recruiting. They have the luxury of drawing the best players in the country. Your statement about Texas is flawed and generalizing at it's best btw. I am not going to do the homework for you but go check out the sites and the classes the last few years. They are graded on who brings in the highest rated players out of high school. Every year Ohio State, Alabama, and now Michigan are near the top. It isn't that difficult to figure out who the best players are with all of the scouting services grading them. The guys graded at the top are always the top targets. It's common sense.

Schein has been shitting on the Rams ever since someone decided to put a mic in front of him. I honestly think he is a trip, and fun to listen to most of the time. Everyone likes to crap on the downtrodden organizations. Its what these guys do....

you can bet your last dollar though that once the Stan land opens he wont be giving up any more home games (other than when he gets the superbowl because he has too)

this might be the last few games we get to see the rams live and in person (other than a trip to LA to watch )

The physicality.

I loved the way at times during his tenure that this team didn't only beat other teams, but beat them up. The Broncos game in 2014 was a textbook example of this. They didn't merely win the game, they dragged the Broncos into the back ally and pummeled the ever-loving dogsh!t out of them, leaving them bruised, bloodied, and battered.

In another game earlier that year, TJ laid out Mike Evans at TB to cause a 10 second run off that ended the game. Lots of big hits.

The Rams lost more than they won during his tenure, but they were never bullied.

Wish there was a way they could retain that mentality.

A-motherfreakin-men. He should have replaced both coordinators after that season. If you look at the defense that year, it started rough but once it got its bearings, it wasn't bad. But his standards for defense were very high, so he canned Walton and went and got somebody that could make the defense not just "not bad" but very good. Had he decided to do the same on the offensive side of the ball, the Rams might be in the thick of a playoff hunt now. I'm sure there would have been struggles given the QB situation, but I clearly think the offense could have been better all this time. It could have mitigated his decision not to hire Hue Jackson when he had the chance in 2012.

Not sure it matters, both teams get flagged a lot so i expect more of the same Thursday night.
