Dolphins block Rams from Foerster

Part of why I wanted Shanahan was that I think Gurley is a great fit in the ZBS scheme. Being able to flow with the line and then one cut and go really seemed to suit his running style last year. Maybe McVay thought the same. However, I don't think the Oline personnel fits that scheme as much

I doubt our current OL fits any blocking scheme.

Per NFL network Anthony Lynn hired to be the HC of the Chargers.

Chargers name Anthony Lynn head coach
Posted by Mike Florio on January 13, 2017

The Chargers officially have a new home. And, officially, a new coach.

The latest arrival in Los Angeles has named Anthony Lynn the successor to Mike McCoy, and also the 16th coach in franchise history.

“One thing that’s very clear about Anthony Lynn is he’s a leader,” Chargers president of football operations John Spanos said in a press release. “He’s a natural-born leader. As you can tell, I am very excited about the leadership qualities he’s going to bring to our team. He is really going to communicate and connect with our players. He’s had a number of great coaching influences in his life and as a former player who won two Super Bowls, Anthony knows first-hand what championship pedigree is all about. We couldn’t be more excited to have him lead our franchise into this exciting new era of Chargers football.”

Lynn previously served as interim coach and offensive coordinator of the Bills. He returns to the AFC West, where he played as a member of the Broncos, winning championships in 1997 and 1998. He also spent the first three years of his coaching career in Denver.

“I’m having a hard time even putting into words how excited I am to be the new head coach for the Los Angeles Chargers,” Lynn said. “This is really a dream come true. I want all of our fans to know that we’re going to start by putting together a great staff and we’re going to put together a team with the heart and will of a champion. I know there’s a lot of work to be done and I’m going to give everything I have to the Chargers, the Spanos family, and the City of Los Angeles.”

Some had pegged Lynn as the next coach of the Bills, but the Bills opted for Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott. The hiring of Lynn makes him the fifth hire in this cycle; one vacancy remains, for now, in San Francisco.

Schrager on McVay: 'He wanted this job so badly'

as puck is nativ austrian - ill see that as an omen that everything is gonna be alright ;)

I drove through Austria with my parents in a Karmann Ghia on the way to Italy as a boy. A beautiful place. Always good to know we have Rams fans here at ROD from all over the world. (y) We have a Member Map at the top of the page for those who are interested.

Anyone have Psoriasis

I have had it since I was around 13 years old. At one point it covered most of my body but I was lucky and it went into remission for about 10 years. It wasn't until I was in my 30's that it came back. I've been able to keep it under control though. Here is my advise and what worked for me. Don't use any type of creams or ointments that contain steroids. If you read up on that you'll find out they make things worse in the long run. Also the tar based creams and ointments do nothing except make a mess. What I found was the very best treatment was good old sunshine. It's most effective from the end of spring and on through summer. You can also get UVB treatment from special tanning beds.

I hope you can find something that works for your son. It's a terrible disease that really hurts your self esteem . Especially for a child.

Strongest and weakest 2017 offensive FA's

Now that McVay is in, maybe Desean Jackson comes to as a FA?
No but I see Pierre Garcone coming in! I pray we pick him up and retain Britt or make a move for Alshon Jefferey. Can you imagine Jefferey/Garcone, Britt, Tavon. any of our 4th or 5th WR's? Talk about opening up the field for one another! Tavon would go off and the box would no longer be stacked on Gurley! Now... about that bastard o line!

DC Pro Sports Report says McVay in as Rams HC

Has Phillips even said whether or not he still wants to coach at going on 70 ??? I'm not going to get all giddy or assume it's not a good move...I've done that far too many times over the years...They will hire who they want and we'll see how it works out...I've seen "wow, so and so along with with so and so, can anybody stop them ??"way, way too many times..I'll just sit back and watch it unfold...I said after the season that I would do that and I'm going to do it for once...Good luck Rams...Hope they get it right...

If I understand it correctly, when a person goes into a HC interview, their staff list isn't a wish list, it's a list of a staff that they CAN GET. It's people they know, they've talked with and WILL COME if called. Now, they aren't exclusive lists, necessarily, which is why teams want to hire as early as possible.

But THAT is why McVay having Wade Philips on his list was so huge. It means that Wade Philips talked with Sean McVay in real terms about taking the LA Rams DC job if asked and he said yes.

Now...at the time, he hadn't been asked to stay in Denver.

As of this moment, there are conflicting reports out there. Vance Joseph has reportedly asked Wade Philips to stay in Denver while the reporting is that Wade Philips IS EXPECTED to join Sean McVay with the Rams.

But the inclusion of the name by McVay wasn't an idle inclusion like if we were asked to name who we'd start an NFL franchise with. No, this was real.

I have a feeling that the battle for Wade Philips is raging and both sides are putting on the full-court press.

Bills hire Sean McDermott

Goff will gain confidence with success. He is a rookie who may be above his current comfort level. There are 84 other players on this team, most of whom need a swift kick in the ass instead of a pat on the hiney. I want a guy that will enforce his will and not coddle players. McVey is just way too young and inexperienced for my liking.

That's just not everyone's path to success.

Not everyone responds to the "drill sergeant" type.

I'm former military and I respond to several different types of coaching/training. I'm pretty malleable. Others aren't.

Since talent is a pretty rare commodity at the highest levels, it's the BETTER manager that can harness that talent than impose his will.

Seems to me, anyway. imho

Many coaching candidates are VERY HIGH on Jared Goff.

Lol'ing so hard if you think Bradford would've turned out any differently. Injuries or not, that staff was never gonna let him reach his neighborhood of potential. As previous posters have stated, Fisher would've demanded more and more check downs in an unimaginative, conservative offense. How do you spell Jeff Fisher? Q-B-K-I-L-L-E-R

Thankfully, Goff will be in great hands with a coach he can relate and growth with. Coach McVay will be the choice TAKE IT TO THE BANK!

That's exactly what Bradford did this year under Shurmur. That's what Bradford was always comfortable doing.
