SUMBICH!
~Aaron Donald
Lol - my thoughts.
SUMBICH!
~Aaron Donald
We will be so hyped or it, until after about the first series of plays is over. Then good play is replaced by Game of Scrubs. Who will survive the cuts to make the 53? Cersei is on the Iron Throne and a lot of cuts are coming, like in the Battle of the Bastids...
I am all ready to say, WHEN is the regular season? (rhetorical question, no need to answer)
Horrible.Dude was garbage. Replacing him with a cab driver would be a damn upgrade.
I'll take young players with upside over the older, entitled, halfass-pass-dropping slackers like Kendricks any day. Can't wait to see these guys in action in preseason.
The Sportsbooks look a bit lopsided early on. I may have to cut the generous odds on the popular outsider being backed" Let's not have any ' Bad thoughts' / 'Negative thinking' about the 1st game of any kind in the McVat Era!! Let's not send out "Negative Vibs!!"
Especially IF you want to WIN any of those Heavy Bets you and I just made at the ROD Book!!![]()
If Donald gets off his @ss and gets to Camp, Wade's 3-4 will make our defense one of the best in the NFL, imo. Our special teams may already be the best in the NFL. As you say, our offensive line is probably the best its been in years with Whittworth and Sullivan replacing GRob and Barnes. Gurley, with ANY success with Kupp and Woods moving the chains, will go freaking off.....There were a lot of Eli comparisons for those looking for a glimmer of hope after Goff's rookie year. The problem is it took Eli 5 years to get his QB rating into the 80s. I don't believe that patience exists anymore.
I would expect a season from Goff similar to Bradford's 2012 season. Goff should have a much better offensive line than the 2012 team, and I think 2017 Gurley is better than 2012 Jackson. I still don't like the Rams receiving corps though. I think Kupp is their best WR, but he's still a rookie. Time will tell. I think some putting lofty expectations on Goff will be disappointed. I'm expecting a solid season, and I'd be fine with that.
I made this deal with the Indians...OK! All you "Photo-Shopper's" out their in ROD Land, Get Busy and design a Rams Plane for Kroenke!!!!:yay::yay::yess:
Cory is listed as first reserve behind Mark Barron who is the weak inside LBer.Where is Littleton (LB)? The guy was the team ROY, excelling on STs and doing a pretty good job filling in for Forrest down the stretch. The guy reminds me of OTree the way he runs down plays (not OTree's entire game).
Just haven't seen his name mentioned in any camp reports. Curious if he's getting any reps and at which position/team.
I'd like to add, I'm not one to be pessimistic about my Rams, but from what I saw at 2 days of training camp, I'm not optimistic that our offense will improve in the passing game.
I realize it's just training camp and they don't show everything (or anything) but our receivers just do not look like a threat, nor do we have much top speed deep threats. My worry isn't so much the receivers I guess, as it is the scheme, the route tree, and the pass protection. I hope I'm wrong!![]()
This rule really doesn't work for 1st round picks that they're referring to IIRC.
http://operations.nfl.com/football-ops/league-governance/2017-18-important-nfl-dates/
There are a couple of dates listed there that are important. The August 8th that is being referred to means if a player doesn't report by then his first year of free agency is a restricted year instead of unrestricted. First round picks have the 5th year option so I don't think that would apply to them or if it does it means that 6th year would be unrestricted? The big date we have to pay attention to for AD is November 14th which would be prior to our week 11 game. If players holding out including rookies that went unsigned they cannot play in the NFL in the following year. That's my understanding at least of the rules, granted we haven't had a holdout in ages so I'm not totally up to snuff on this.
Marks is a pretty good player, imo. I'm somewhat surprised he's not on a roster right now, but maybe there's an injury I don't know about?Jared Odrick, Sen'Derrick Marks, and Vance Walker are all intriguing names to me. However, I understand why the Rams might choose Jackson over those three. Jackson has proven quite durable during his NFL career. The other three have all had recent injury issues.
You nailed it, Classic Rams! Here's a photo of Don!Don Klosterman (without googling).
From the 1973 media guide:
Don's professional career began as Cleveland's first-round draft choice. With Otto Graham the Browns' incumbant QB, Don was traded to the Dallas Texans, then to the Rams. In 1952 with the Rams, he played third fiddle behind a pair of QBs named Waterfield and Van Brocklin.
Don seemed like a very good GM from what I can remember and what I've read. The most recent story I read about him was from an e-book called The Super 70s. But it highlights one of the Rams' failed attempts to land a franchise QB. In one of the stories the Rams were wanting to sign Joe Namath after a few tryouts. Klosterman called Paul "Dr. Z" Zimmerman to inquire about Namath. Z was a Jets writer at the time and had some advice for Klosterman. "He can't play!" Klosterman replied "He looks good in practice." But that's just practice, Z answered. The next day the Rams signed him.
His old ass would remember that shit.Ok, now I'm gonna hafta beat you like the Steelers did Roger Staubach!
