SI.com: Rams Are Not Only Good—They're Also Fun to Watch

Maybe we learned different rules (talking to the author). The rule I learned was that if you keep your hands inside the shoulders (from pectoral to pectoral), you're okay (as long as you let go when the defender starts to pull away). If you allow your hands outside of the frame and take the defender to the ground, you're going to get flagged.

Frederick's hands were grasping our DL's jersey on the outside of his shoulders. Our DL tried to pull away, Frederick didn't let go, and both went to the ground. That's a clear as day hold. I even have photo evidence to prove it:

All Frederick had to do was let go when the defender started to pull away. He didn't. That's textbook holding. I get that Cowboys fans may not understand that because the refs let their OL get away it, but that doesn't make it a bad call.

71, whoever that loser is, is doing a little bit of the same thing in the background there. He's reaching around the body trying to... Uh... Hold him back from making the play. Maybe not as egregious, or maybe not a foul, but I think it's the same/similar.

Todd Gurley Yay or Nay?

As awesome as Gurley was... and he was... he seemed to be running harder. Running harder implies higher degree of effort. That shouldn't change from week to week.
So, I hope that wasn't the case.
Instead I could counter that concern with the observation he wasn't hit early in his runs and was able to get momentum. That would give the appearance of more effort because he could finish his runs.

I'm going with the latter.

Me too. Nice to see some holes to run through. It really makes a difference for a north/south runner like Gurley.

Dallas LB Sean Lee doubtful for Sunday

There was a play....long run this season....think BC made a poor decision....probably was Washington.

I'd give him another chance....just to see...but he's gotta come up and make some hits...maybe he was nervous...that does make a DB take poor angles.

But I wanna see Marqui on the field...Christian is an impact type..."looking" player....I love guys that fly to the ball and throw their body into players....

Mo's been getting a lot of press...hype...whatever it's called. But he's been a primary reason for some big plays...

Just curious, you don't think Christian can handle FS?

Ref. Christian .....MC is much better playing up close to the LOS not the high safety position. Could he play some @ FS ? Sure but he will not be as good. His wrap up is MIA. Needs to fine tune this ASAP. Now MC is also not that good in coverage. If you have BC in @ FS & MC in @ SS the pass defense in trouble. If MC is going to find a future starting post in the NFL it will be where Mo Alexander is playing today.

Sad to say bit both BC & MC both lack coverage skills thus that's why we saw them draft John Johnson last May.

Fans Dis Spanos With Flyby

Personal experience with Spanos: as a young flight instructor in the early 90s trying to feed my family at the airport in Stockton CA, I saw how he crushed businesses. If you wanted to do business on that airport he made sure you would fail unless he was getting a piece of it. I won't bore you with the stories but there are several instances that I know of.

BTW I flew for a banner company for exactly 1 day (1 flight you be exact) F THAT!! Scared the crap out of myself on the first flight and after my 3 hour tour of Daytona Beach, I quit

McVay

Long time lurker here.....from the StL. I must admit when the Rams hired him, I was unsure how he'd do being the head coach of our beloved Rams. However, I am flat out impressed. The job doesn't look too big for him. He's running the show and it feels like he's super over-prepared. Love it.
I always felt Fisher and Co were just unorganized, running around crazy on the sidelines, fumbling for flags they couldn't find...etc. What a stark contrast with McVay's discipline and preparation. McVay strikes me with his "Tom Landry" coolness, never let them see you sweat attitude. Love it.

Am I the only one seeing this?

Let's kick some @$$ today fellas!

Go Rams!

Schmidt
Welcome rams brother. I too am impressed with our toddler of a coach, i really knew nothing about the man until we hired him. I will say this , i kinda liked fisher , i now wonder if i gave him too much credit all along . Seems like night and day albeit early .

Playoff chances of 2-1 teams: Titans look good, Rams in trouble

It's not hard for me to hate on Wilson. That little pain in the arse is like some insect buzzing around out there with his little cheerleader coach dancing around on the sideline.

Yeah, but he's kind of a great dude with everything he does with the children's hospitals and being a good role model for young athletes.. totally doesn't fit on that team. They should trade him to a team in the AFC.

Danny Trevathan's dirty hit

I think he intentionally led with the crown of the helmet, but I don't think he meant to hit him in the face. I've led with the helmet a few times trying to get my D to start laying wood, but usually hit em in the chest plate. If you think that doesn't happen in almost every game, you're wrong. As far as trying to kill the man, no, I don't think contact to the face was intentional. Fine deserved, suspension is an ehhhhhh....okay, I see why.
