Can We Bag On Elliot For A Minute?

Team celebrations are now allowed - rule change.

And I brought up that stupid freaking eating gesture he does in another thread. I was so happy we ended THAT nonsense.

By the look of his gut that he loves to show off, he's been feeding plenty. One thing I agree with Skip on is that he looks like he lost a step. Glad Todd reminded everyone who the best back on the field was.

Humble Stars

But I'm in the "two wrongs don't make a right" category on that one. The very famous person is already a household synonym for idiot. The issue I have is OBJ thinking he is so important that we are interested in his opinion and side shows.
Exactly....while not funny....outlandish....well, my buddy and I were laughing our ass off watching the highlights...my buddy hates Odell...his look...all the stuff...I'm defending him....lol...cause, he can REALLY play...but I get you....

But when the Rams were doing that bob and weave...Hell, I didn't know what they were doing at first....but you know what? We were winning...and it' looked like fun...but if I was the opponent...man I woulda tried to destroy, Marshall, Bruce, or Torry....that's too much celebrating....but...it sure looks fun.

Odell is in the drivers seat...the Giants, Manning, the coach...all are....owed their jobs because of his success....The HC has his job because of Odell...Eli does too...and the Giants won't win a game without him....Odell has leverage...he can pee on your grass if he wants....or

trade him...cut him....watch how many don't mind a few antics.

Special Teams were truly special in Dallas.

Coach John Fassel had a few hiccups in San Francisco, but the special teams were truly special in Arlington on Sunday. Greg Zuerlein won the game and Pharoh Cooper who all of us were really tough on to stay in the end zone brought one out with a great return to set up points too, they also recovered a fumble that was huge and did not have any crazy penalties that extended drives.

There is no questioning the Rams have three great ones in deep snapper Jake McQuaide, Johnny Hekker & Zuerlein, but I was very pleased with Cooper and Tavon Austin caught everything cleanly as well. One thing we have been spoiled in over the years under coach Fassel is the special teams and last week was not their finest hour, but Coach Fassel & Assistant Special Team Coach Tyrone McKenzie had their unit ready in the Lone Star State and because of it the Los Angeles Rams sit atop the NFC West.

And so it (the excuses) begins. Florio up first.

Playing a team on thier short week after you've had a 10 day week is DEFINATELY an advantage.

But that advantage is washed away because it was a home game for to Cowboys.

Then the Cowboys enjoyed a slight advantage for having the Rams travel east and playing an early game.

Blah blah blah blah blah.....

The thing not many are talking about is how the Rams overcame the home field advantage, over came the early deficit, and overcame a series of ridiculous officiating. For the 1st quarter, it seemed that everything was going against the Rams and somehow we rose above it all.

This was truly a GREAT victory for this team. They simply did not cave in and get burried by the pressure of all the above advantages.

What Cowboys fans are saying before and after the game

I bet the talent is closer than a passing opinion. You line our guys up position by position against their guys and the debate for who has more talent would be pretty close. Dallas lives off hype and stories of the past.

One example would be the offensive line. Dallas supposedly has thus great offensive line. But who balled out last night? The Rams O'Line outplayed them by a pretty good margin.

Our guys just have less time together. Week by week, that's going to be less of a difference.

I think there's merit to this opinion, but I also think coaching has a lot to do with it. Obviously, those things are always intertwined. I do think it's much closer than expected, and we could pass them by season's end due to our amazing coaching.

2017-2018 Season - Second Quarter

After Seattle, our next 3 games are on the road, including the Cards game in London, so it won't be easy.

During the pre-season I had us going 6 - 1 into the BYE week, and 10 - 6 overall. We should be 4 - 0 right now as everything that could go wrong did so in the Skins game, and as angry as I was following that fiasco, I can see the Rams finishing the first half at 7 - 1. http://www.ramsondemand.com/threads/record-prediction-thread.50825/#post-937144

Nothing about any of our next 4 opponents makes them unbeatable, even if they are mostly road games, ... in fact i'm now guessing our Rams finish at 11 - 5 so long as we avoid the injury curse. Our offense is playing smart and based on the second half of the Dallas game, i'd say our defense is definitely coming around. We are still a very young team building chemistry on both sides of the ball, now it's time to prove our team confidence is worthy of a proper play-off run. jmo.
