To me, if we were to trade him, it's not a matter of how many picks a team would have to give up, but how many drafts. I'm talking Mike Ditka style. I'd say minimum two drafts, with an elite player thrown in, too.

The Rams signed Tru to the tag in back to back years. It's a bigger possibility then you think. If the Rams want to keep Watkins and think a deal may not get done. They may have no choice but to tag him. Why would that be a problem?

Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis will be joined by Panthers Tight End Greg Olsen as his team enjoys a bye week. Greg is currently nursing a leg injury he sustained earlier in the year. Much like McVay dropping by on the Fox pregame a couple weeks ago, Olsen seems to be doing something similar by joining along in the booth.

It should be fun to hear a current NFL player express his views on the two teams.

Olsen has been fantastic as an on-field analyst for the NFLN during the combine the last couple of years. I think he'll do great and has a bright, after football playing, career ahead of him.

In 1999 we had a former Indianapolis Colt running back come to the Rams in Marshall Faulk.

I have been like cover my eyes and peek out once in a while just to see. After the Cardinals win and especially after the Giants romp I feel like I can take a breath. We may lose 3 more games but still in the playoffs at 11-5. Many experts have us as a bye week team already... Wow.

Very well said imo. There are so many incentives beyond a straight here-and-now payday to consider. Not only should it help keep a core together, these winning cultural-benefits will also attract more players here should we need to replace some that "get away."

Somebody put some glue on JD’s hands. I have the feeling he is going to try and prove himself by fighting for yards since this is his first game action. If he tries that, he better have the ball high and tight.

The only way the Texans beat us is by dominating the turnover battle.

I know it burns us every week when we look at the standings and think “what if” but honestly that loss might have been the best thing that happened to us.

McVay stresses how the turnover differential is the biggest indicator of success behind wins and losses and that’s true. That’s a game where a hand full of individuals could reflect after, point to themselves, and say “we could’ve won that if I didn’t...” and that lesson has carried over to every game afterwards.

I feel we would’ve lost the Jacksonville game had we won the Seattle game because the urgency wouldn’t have been there and we were going to learn the hard way one way or another.

The penalties issue seemed to have gotten cleaned up since the 49ers game where we almost lost due to bonehead moves. Redskins loss came down to turnovers and penalties.

All of these issues we heard McVay stress about before the season even started but it seems this team needed to experience and learn the hard way for it to learn.

No doubt in my mind we see a different team vs Seattle when we play them later. This is a young team that is going to have some moments that disappoint us but the trend is upward for years to come. Big picture.

Will be wearing his jersey at the Texans game; still is, and always will be my favorite Ram of all time. Feels strange seeing him without the dreads though

Do you know how this team made it's turn around?

1) Hard choices made by looking almost strictly at production.

2) Looking at the character of the player, including mostly, how hard does he work.

No one denies that Quinn is a hard worker with a good character.
Like I've mentioned before;
He is a actual homeboy who I've met and talked to.
I have talked to his parents and love him til death do us part as a person.
I would give him a hug right now!

However, he is not a premier outside linebacker and if he wants to continue playing he can do that.
Someone will give him a contract to see if they can get him going again as a 4-3 defensive end.

Longacre is going to be getting more snaps as the season goes on and Quinn less and he won't be here next year, in my opinion.
