Well, it's Week 9 so it's time to Talk Draft

OLB edge rusher - need depth

CB- not sure what will happen with Tru and we lack depth behind the 3 starters .

LT- not I'm the first 2 rounds!! , free agency is the place to find starting o linemen.. we just can't seem to get it right in the draft .
I agree with you here...If a top LT prospect is available in the last quarter of the first round of the draft I would make that high considerations if not an outside/boundary corner would be right there too. It would not bother me at all if the first 3 selections by this Ram team were an LT & 2 outside Corners. Rams do not have a 2nd rd pick.

Rams have four picks in the 5th & 6th rounds where I would hope to land a few edge rushers/tweeners, a safety plus a OG if they can not sign UFA Spencer Long..

Week 11 SOPR (Statistical Overall Power Rankings)

Great job @551staaa. Is there anyway you could lay out the rankings for each statistic? I’m sure our run defense brings that down a lot too.

Also, I wonder if you were to apply this system to last season, would it correlate with the top teams success? It seems foolproof to me.

Okay, so here are the final regular season SOPR rankings for 2016. (Playoff teams in bold) There are some outliers in the playoffs, but a lot of it is the result of the divisional system in place.

29. N. Y. Jets - 281

25. Buffalo - 262
24. Tampa Bay - 253

20. Miami - 245
19. Washington - 234
18. Houston - 233
17. Detroit - 228

Dio Returns

Seems strange.
With the other singers I assume there will be lines "sung" by Dio and synced up with the hologram. Or songs here and there. As someone who was lucky enough to see him live many times (even worked with him once) it won't replace the live experience of that powerhouse voice....one of a kind.
But, might be interesting. If it comes stateside I'm sure I will end up going.

RGIII Wants A Job...With The Texans

Disagree.
Colts picked up Brissett and he was effective when he played right away, much more so than the guy he replaced.
Bradford went to Minny and played well out of the gate.
RGIII has been in the league long enough to know the deal and the coaches can work verbiage to translate what he knows in to what they do

I specifically said “no free agent QB” would turn them around. If they traded for a competent QB like Brissett then it might be a different story. Bradford was also traded for because there was obvious value.

The free agent QBs at this stage in the season are free agents because they either suck or their minds are no longer focused on football. RG3 has gone 6-22 since his rookie season and has shown himself to be incompetent without his old running abilities. He isn’t turning any franchise around.

Los Angeles Rams UK

Bit of a re-launch and new collaboration going down in the UK.

I've partnered with a couple of other people to co-ordinate our efforts on Facebook and Twitter under the Los Angeles Rams UK brand.

If you are so inclined it would be great to see you across either of the platforms

If we can get things really rolling we'll be organising an annual trip to LA for game(s).

I'll be pointing our members across to ROD as well.

NEW LA RAMS UK.jpg

Ram fans in St. Louis

I don’t think he still owns any part of the Rams but until at least very recently, he still had an office on the west coast that he called his Rams LA office. Seemed odd at the time because he was no longer part of the organization. Chip and Lucinda - last I heard - still had a small percentage of the team after Stan bought controlling interest though. This is all by recollection though so some, all, or none of it could be true.

I asked Kevin Demoff about this a year or so ago. He informed me that Stan now owns 100% of the franchise.

No SNF vs. Saints :(

The NFL is goo goo ga ga over Pittsburgh Steelers. Seems like most all the talking sportscasters :grouphug:have selected them to be the NFL SB winners this season.....the team to beat.

Its a breath of fresh air to have a North Eastern NFL team getting so much attention.:shocking:
Havent seen anyone saying this.

All I read/watch is Patriots this and that everywhere and everything Pats ad nauseum like Tom Brady's diet blahblahblah.

So, which PLAYER has most exceeded your ‘17 preseason expectations?

I voted for Woods, but the player who - more than - exceeded my expectations is John Johnson III. I admit that I didn't particularly like the pick of JJ3 in the third round. I had high hopes for Maurice Alexander, and while I thought that a safety did have to be drafted, JJ3 was a little low on my list.

All he did was provide excellent coverage in the secondary and provide a boost when Alexander was cut.

JJ3, I was totally wrong about you, and I hope that you forgive me. I'll even bake you a cake or cookies. :P ;)
