Rams at Whiners Replay on NFL Network.

Re-air of the game against the Whiners on NFL Network 3-11-18 at 8 pm PST. Gives us something to watch on a Sunday night. I’ll tune in to see how we picked them apart that night.

I recorded that and watched it a couple times. I still say the Rams committed unforced error’s that allowed San Francisco 14 points either directly or indirectly. Also one fumble that I give was forced “barely“ that gave SF another seven points

That game had no business being as close as it was score wise.

Late round gems

With Les and his scouting staff, the Horns always seem to be positioned to do a lot even with a little. It was absolutely ridiculous where we got Cooper Kupp last draft. As long as most of the NFL is programmed to pay too much attention to track & field data as opposed to real football ability, we will always have an edge in scouting & player evaluation over most teams.

Rams On Demand Full 7 rd mock draft results

A year later almost here was my Rams draft review

2nd. Evan Engram, TE (Ole Miss) - Had a very good year and broke some rookie TE records for the Giants. He will be causing defenses headaches for years. Needs to cleanup the drops but I see him as a all pro TE down the line. Good pick.

3rd. Ahkello Witherspoon, CB (Colorado)- Didnt play much the beginning of the year but shined towards the end of the season for the whiners. Probably will be starting opposite of Sherman this year. Still believe he will be a very good CB.

4th. Chad Hansen, WR (Cal)- Wasnt much of a factor and needs more development. Also needs a better QB. WRs develop slow so hes too incomplete to rate yet.

5th. Jon Toth, C (Kentucky)- Injuries were too much, isnt even on a roster ouch. Whiffed on this one lol. Bad pick.

5th. Ejuan Price, OLB (Pittsburgh)- I took him earlier then he actually went, thought he would have more impact for the Rams but really did nothing. Still on the roster so we will see this year if he breaks into the rotation.

6th. Dieugot Joseph, OT (Florida Int.)- Cut a few times and ended up on the Vikings practice squad. Probably wont amount to much.

6th. Jamaal Williams, RB (BYU)- Showed pretty well for the Packers when he finally got his chance. I think hes their best RB and will have a chance to be the guy this season. Very good value pick for how late I got him.

7th. Josh Malone, WR (Tennessee)- Buried on the Bengals depth chart. Didnt do much but did catch a TD pass. Like I said with Hansen above, WRs are always the slowest to develop so hes incomplete.

Why the Rams Are Shedding Defensive Players

Ogletree perhaps yes, but Quinn? Not so sure, I thought he was steady coming on as the year progressed, that was a tough loss for me but I guess his contract was a burden

Robert cannot cover anyone in pass coverage. He simply lacks the instincts for that LB skill, He is a pure rusher---nothing more.

Les Snead appreciation thread!

I'm sure he has a serviceable understanding, no question. But so did JZ.

Would you expect a guy who has been a HC for years to ubnderstand all of the details of the zillions of cap rules? He may kinda know some stuff but not enough to work a contract.
Um.... neither JZ nor Shaw had any football experience before coming to the Rams. Zero, zip, nada. Trying to make a comparison to that clown show is really being disengenuous as I know you couldn’t stand that duo either.

No I wouldn’t expect that of a head coach. But I also wouldn’t expect that of most team presidents either. We are talking specifically about KD. He actually does know football and has lived and breathed it his entire life. I suspect he has a pretty good handle on who is who in football circles.

Preston Brown anyone?

I'm not worried. I don't think McVay and Wade are either. Barron, Joyner and Johnson are all very good in coverage. We're also stacked at corner once we re sign NRC.

Opposing teams can only have five receivers, I think we have that covered with our personnel. In a worse case scenario you drop an ILB to play center field. If he's a tackling machine, I am truly not concerned.

I think both ILBer have to be able to cover. Both Tree and Barron where in man coverage at the same time.

I woke up and no big trade?

Yea something isn't right. It's been quiet for too long.

Maybe the other 31 General Managers have blocked Snead on their cell phones.

There is a Rumor that Rams GM Les Snead has been calling several NFL GM's 20 to 30 times a day and many calls have been made between the hours of 12 am & 4 am.

These GM's are too tired to make sense of what the hell Les is offering and he's constantly talking over them telling them how much better their teams will be if they just listen to what he has to say.

GM's are getting sick of Les blowing up their phones and disrupting their sleep. More than 20 general managers have admitted to blocking Snead on their cell phones.

Dominique Easley shares video of himself running at Rams facility

One of the saddest things that I have ever seen since I have become a pro-football fan is that there are people out their who have immense football talent. I'm talking about strength, reflexes, speed, intelligence and lack a football body. A body that just does not hold up to the rigors of football. It's hard to see see these guys break down, but it happens.

Jrry32 Post-Combine Mock Draft

Love the picks.

I'd rather have Blythe than give long term money to a guy who's missed an entire year due to concussion. Even if he's playing at an All-Pro level, one hit and he's done...forever.

If the contract were structured with very little guaranteed, I'd be okay with it, but he's gonna get guarnteed money from the Jets, so I'd rather stick with Sully and Blythe.

Still great mock... except you didn't figure how we get Shaquem Griffin, so 5 demerits...

Combine ; Linebackers running the 40

I seriously wonder if Shaquem Griffin would be our guy at #23.

He's crazy fast at sub-4.4 speed. He's a tackling machine and his attitude is as good as it gets.

I know he's not a thumper, but especially if we let Barron go, I wouldn't be upset with that at all.

I'd rather trade down and maybe still get him late 1st, early 2nd, but he's on a rocket up the draft boards and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he makes it into the first round or early second.
