Rams Free Agency (wishlist/predictions)

PFF gives him a 59.6 grade. That's not great. Plus teams seem to favor bigger corners nowadays. I'd rather the Rams bring Witherspoon back and sign an experienced linebacker for insurance.
I'm willing to bet he would perform better on our defense. He was pretty fantastic in college and worth a shot. Still young too. I'd like ASJ and Witherspoon back, then we can literally go BPA.

Bills land Michael Hoecht 3y

The way he played this year I figured he was going to get a nice pay day.
I was hoping the Rams could retain him but figured it was unlikely.
He finally got consistent setting the edge against the run, had an impressive pressure rate and blocked three kicks this year.
A great example of a guy who worked very hard and refused to be an easy cut.
Super impressive with what he has done and what the coaching staff did with his as well.
Talk about a great role player.....
Good luck to him.
The group he came up with & then going through Covid. He made such a big play on special teams that helped win the 2022 Superbowl.

FEATURE QB Jimmy G resigns

Well, let's hope he doesn't hit any of those incentives and stays comfy on the bench all season.

A good signing & an excellent insurance move.Of course you hope that, but he brings a lot to The Rams.
Having Bennett back as well really helps the growth of the team. They’ll still need an extra arm as well,so Dicker might be back as well.
— nice Jimmy G is back

Bills sign Josh Allen to record deal

Ridiculous that a player gets a deal that large with FOUR years left on his contract. Come on. Do you think they would give money back if they performed poorly for 1 season? Why do they think they should get a raise with that many years left on their deal just becuase they had a great year and won MVP? Poor GMing and poor precedent for the entire NFL. I don't mind negotiating a year or two early as much, but 4 years is assinine.

Raiders trade for Geno Smith

Ridiculous response. Stafford won four straight with zero run game to hoist a Lombardi. So as it pertains to this discussion he is in fact one of the very few QBs in this league who can take over big games and win them without a run game.

The second tier of QBs is quite sizeable I think. And as always this stuff is very subjective. But there are more QBs who could do what the Eagles QB just did for example, as that was a defense and run game both around him at an elite level. And all of them, like Hurts, are second tier QBs.

There are third tier QBs as well I think. Guys who are not as proficient as the top options in that second tier in seeing the field, getting through reads, etc. But for purpose of this conversation trying to act like Geno is some fucking prize is absurd. He's down there with Darnold and quite a few others.
Ridiculous response. Ha!! You are so far off my point that I am not sure which one of us is more stoned (its me). I wasn't arguing what tier Stafford is, I was just saying that Darnold ain't shit for "winning" 14 games.

Gene Hackman passed away

Wow, what a strange story, at the end. Glad to hear Betsy was a devoted caregiver. Also glad to hear foul play has been pretty much ruled out.

A rare disease from rodents? Weird.
