Rams have SO many questions as Cards game approaches…

I liked that Stafford seemed to be pissed at himself on the sideline after those errant throws last week. Shows he KNOWS he needs to be better and I'm confident he will be.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some more wrinkles in the run game this week and moving thru the year. I was asking for 2 RB (FB/RB) sets since last season. Maybe Malcom Brown is going to play that FB spot a bit?

All that talk about Tutu... were the Rams just trying to get someone to bite on him for a 5th rounder maybe? All that talk in pre-season and he has yet to flash anything of substance.

Need to see some better tackling and stop getting gashed for 5+ yard runs all the time. Tighter press coverage instead of 8+ yard cushion. Our DBs are being left out to dry with this soft zone bs. Lets get some QB pressure and show some killer instinct. These 1 possession point differential games are getting too frequent and too risky. How about we win one by 10+ ffs?

LFG!

Start of Title Defense Nothing Like Crazy 2000 Season

Would OBJ rather live in 70-degree weather (LA) in December/January or freezes his butt off in Buffalo at 0 degrees.
I will answer the rhetorical, My guess is he would rather have the warm weather.
The problem is I doubt weather is close to the top of his priority list when making the decision. I do feel like he wants to come back to the Rams though.

Got a few off-the-wall thoughts of my own after waiting 24 hours…

As far as Akers we may have overestimated his potential, I too am surprised at his lack of production and hope his challenges get sorted.
I also wonder if it is at least partially mental.

If you go back to 2020 when we all felt he was going to be our future stud back and you look deeper into his performance as a rusher you will see 4 standout games and all 2nd half to the final 3rd of the season leaving us optimistic as the season came to an end

Mia 9 for 84
NE 29 for 171 The game that got all of our attention as well as the league's attention
Sea 28 for 131
GB 18 for 90

woven in and around those games were 15 for 63, 21 for 34, 21 for 72

I looked this up because I remembered the NE & Sea games but wasn't clear about his performance and consistency during
that "breakout" rookie season.

I think Cam has shown at times that he can be a serviceable #1 and certainly hope he approaches that 6 or 7-game stretch of 2020
Only time will tell

PREGAME Week 3 - Rams at Cardinals - Pregame Thread

This game is usually in late November/December. It kind of snuck up on me this year. I’ve attended three of the last six years I think.

I may go with my daughter last minute. Not sure, hate the drive it’s like 50 miles to the giant sardine can from my place in the East valley.

I’ll probably just do the big screen at home this year. It’s easier to see Kyler Murray on the field that way.

GAME DAY TNF - Browns at Steelers

One for the Thumb in '81

Anybody else remember that nonsense?!
How about this song:

We love our Pittsburgh Steelers
We love our Chuckie Knoll
Steelers going win another Super Bowl.

Also my family and I vacation in Ocean City Maryland quite often and I could not believe all the Bars that had Steeler paraphernalia hanging on them. I could understand Ravens or even Washington, but it was amazing how many bars had Steeler flags.

I actually looked into if residents of Pittsburgh retired to Ocean City, MD with all the damn bars, just pissed me off.

Rams sign Takk McKinley

McKinley’s story and background received a ton of attention on Draft Night back in 2017. Probably the largest non-QB, human interest story.

Parents not around for most of his life, raised by his grandmother who encouraged him to pursue his dream of playing football before she passed away. On Draft Night, he carried a large picture of his deceased grandmother and was very emotional. An F-bomb or two were heard.

Remember thinking that he came across as a nice, emotional young man but may be a little immature; and that could slow his development. Reading his comments with Rams’ media on the Team’s site, McKinley sounds like he has matured. Hope his body and athleticism hold-up.
