Quick thoughts from the tractor cab..

Good Evening you all, the Rams lost, but the world didn't end.

As I sip this Busch Light and jam Zach Bryan from the cab of my Case IH 340 Magnum, I have these throughts...

We're below .500 for the 2nd time in the McVay era. McVay has taken us to 2 Super Bowls and won 1. Had an extraordinary coaching resume. HE DIDN'T FORGET TO COACH OR CALL PLAYS.

Stafford was a baller last year and for his career. HE DIDN'T FORGET HOW TO PLAY. He's been sacked more through the first 5 games this season than ever in his career. What do you expect him to do?

It's quite evident that the lack of a OL has changed how the plays are called. We know McVay loves those medium - deep crossers and deep routes. But when it takes 3-4 seconds to develop a play and only 2 seconds worth of protection.. what do you do? You have to do the short, intermediate, conservative ugly shit to try and protect the QB.

Our running game desperately needs a bruising, mean MOTHERFCKR. We're too soft in every aspect of the offense right now.

This team is decimated on the OL. And that's what we're seeing result wise

The Rams will get healthy, the Rams be fine. Until we lose 7 games, we have hope. It's a long season.

Sean McVay didn't forget how to coach, and Stafford didn't learn how to ball out.

I will say this though, the Rams continually neglecting the OL is why we're in this situation. I hate to beat a dead horse, but what would be more valuable... Creed Humphries or Tutu? Draft decisions like that are why we're where we're at.

We'll be fine.

Grocery store... pizza shop... what's the difference?

Pats sign pizza cook to roster....

A North Dakota pizza restaurant worker is going insanely viral this week as he is now going from behind the counter to the front lines of the NFL. The New England Patriots signed Sebastian Gutierrez to their practice squad, the team announced.

It would be extremely cool if it wasn't the Patriots

Random Rams Connect

Weird one, but here it goes. Some of you know I work as a high school and youth official. I've been recently assigned several games to Highlands high school in greater Sacramento.

The Athletic Director's name is Courtney Brown. His older brother turns out to be Ron Brown whom some of you will remember as one of the fastest men in the NFL:

Robinson against the 49ers

Play 11
False start on Noteboom but Evans moved first which caused Noteboom to step back.
Play 12
Stafford short/screen pass to Henderson to the left. Maybe Robinson was getting open but it would have been a tough throw to make.

Play 13
Stafford sacked on this play. Robinson was not open over the middle.
Not sure what Noteboom was doing on this play. He went outside and his guy went inside.
And Blanton did not slow down his guy at all and Skowrenek could not recover in time to block the guy who eventually got the sack on Stafford.

Play 14
Henderson delayed run for 8 yards. 3rd and forever so this was just to get closer for a FG
Play 15
Gay kicks FG (Kupp and Gay for MVP this year)

Didn’t see this coming!

I would say Blythe's turnstyle play reduced Goff's play and then McVay lost confidence in Goff because of that and even further reduced Goff's play where he became not even close to a semblance of his self that he displayed in 2017 and 2018
Good point. As with most things, it's usually not just one thing. I read that in a fortune cookie.

Good News sorta

Everyone acknowledges the avalanche of injuries this team has suffered after only 4 games but it seems like people are writing this team off already. They certainly can win the division still and once you get in anything can happen like last year.
I heard a guy say the rams weren’t the best team last year they just got hot at the right time which sounds like what you say if you thought you could win the super bowl but didn’t. Nobody but patriot fans care about the undefeated season when they were probably the best team.
This is going to be a process as McVay tries to put the pieces back together but I’m not ready to crown the 9ers yet.

If it's the best team, we don't need playoffs and the Rams would have far many more titles than now.

Lest we forget

But lest we forget.
Life and football - - is a marathon.
Not a sprint.
I feel I am posting the same thing multiple places around here.

Nobody likes losing, but it is part of today’s NFL.

Just a little over a week ago, the NFL Network was talking about Buffalo going undefeated… Since then, they lost to Miami and should have lost to Baltimore.

The NFL is whack from week to week.

Our Rams aren’t where we want them, but we don’t want to peak too early either.

A new week is upon us! Go Rams!
