PREGAME Lets BEAT THE REDSKINS!!!!!!

Stafford turning the ball over. Or the Rams as a unit turning it over. I think for this game if Stafford continues playing how he has we will roll them. I am just worried he's gonna take a week off.

And that's a fear with the Rams overall as well. They have played very well for a while now. A stinker is all it takes. So I am hoping the leaders, starting with Stafford on offense, show up big and get the job done.
You were almost right. Instead it was Kyren turning the ball over and the secondary taking a week off.

This game never should have been close.

Its already time for collie molesters at ESPN and PFF to eat crow

Before the season started, the "experts" at ESPN (Rob Clay was assigned the task) and Pro Football Focus ranked the Rams' roster 32nd and 31st in the NFL, respectively.

In response, I noted that they molest collies.

Well, all that collie molesting must have given them a big appetite for crow.

No matter how this season ends, the Rams' roster is far better than these "experts" believed.

Maybe.... just maybe... they're not really experts.

Hmmmm.......
They had to put all their jealousy that we won the SB into the standard narrative that we bought it. Turns out the Rams are just a superior organization. :)

Defensive line thread

He's got one gap attacking personnel and plays them 2 gap and one and a half gap read/react which slows down the penetration.
2-gap and 1½-gap are not the same. You have to watch the attack, the gap assignment then the overlap techniques to squeeze and help with gap next to them. And in some cases the Rams 3-4 is one gap, if pinch, slants, etc. are called. It is more complex
that folks realize, all sort of things within each iteration or the scheme.

Gaines left because of his two gap nonsense (he was offered as much as Tampa Bay).
Since he wasn't playing it, this can't be accurate. He probably left because the Rams didn't think they could pay him the $3.5 mil in total money he got for 2023 in TB. I don't know what Rams offered but doubt they would have gone as high as Bucs. I bet it was money.

PFF hacks don't know what they are looking at.
Isn't it possible they are the ones who know what they are looking at?

Cool breakdown of our 9 straight runs against the Ravens

One great thing about our wideouts being so big and physical and willing to put their bodies in there as lead blockers is when McVay dials up runs the Rams do have a nice size advantage, as if they are in 12. Because both Kupp & Nacua are big wideouts, they are like small TEs in their effect blocking. Same with Skow. Robinson isn't small either, he's over 6' and a non-diva type who will get his hands dirty.

And the OL is doing a great job in both the run and pass game of late. They seem to be improving week to week.

So all that plus the threat of this passing game the way Stafford is playing right now means this offense is going to be hard to stop the rest of the way. What we are going to need to win out is mainly Stafford playing with discipline and not giving opponents a short field. If our opponents need to drive the field vs our defense and in any game where we do a good job in the red zone, this offense should be able to do enough to win the game vs the non-elite type opponents.

And the elite opponents who knows maybe we can knock one of them off. Like SF that final week or maybe if we get in and draw them.
Yes sir. I fully expect us to drop 30+ on each of the next three opponents. McVay is developing the next generation of his offense. He just needs to make sure he doesn't out-think himself.

GAME DAY TNF - Chargers at Raiders

Yes, he must save them for the playoffs!
Well they are technically still in the running if they keep winning although I doubt they do but if someone tore an ACL or Achilles like say Devante Adams or Maxx Crosby, that would have lasted well into training camp. What Pierce did yesterday was try to look good to Mark Davis to keep the heading coaching job. Most respectable coaches would have taken out their starters well before Pierce did.

The McVay Offense: Scoring

When I look at Robinson in this offense I see the potential of another Woods type of WR playing X WR allowing Puka and Kupp to exploit mismatches from the Y position. Robinson brings flexibility to the offense that frankly isn't there with Atwell. No knock on Tutu but his physical size limits his use. Robinson can play all WR positions and realistically Atwell is strictly an off the LOS type WR. His ability to block downfield is also limited as evidenced by the block provided by Robinson on Nacua's reception. I don't see Atwell making that block.

Robinson is a very good fit for this offense and I would be surprised if he wasn't extended 2-3 years while they draft a big fast WR to develop behind him. With Kupp's retirement looming (considering all his injuries it's a realistic expectation) the Rams need to draft 2 WRs as Atwell and Skowronek are good role players but that's really all they are.

Next year's draft is the one that will carry this team competitively into the future. Offensively they need a RB and WR going into the future. Defensively they need an edge and CB. Their ability and desire to keep Jackson long term will be decided this offseason. He's not a bad OT but is he a franchise LT? Not at this point but he does have potential, how much is TBD. IMO I think Jackson will be a comp pick.

This is going to be a very interesting draft.
