I suspect this will indeed be the case. Brutal. I'd love for Corum to takeover for Kyren but I don't even know if Corum is a viable NFL running back at this point. His hands are BRICKS. He cannot catch anything. See: Philip Lindsay. Good with the ball in his hands but nothing else and he was out of the league in short order. You don't have to be Marshall Faulk. But you do have to be able to catch when called upon if you want to play RB in the NFL.Nobodies getting fired
Kyren will continue to fumble and come up short
Field goals will be missed and blocked
We have 3 major weaknesses. Corner, pass protection, and special teams. It's losses like this is why I can't see us beating the lions or the eagles in the playoffs. They'll both just out physical us.
I would have been okay with a play action pass with a TE leaking out.And you sure as hell don’t leave it up to KW.
I really thought we’d have Stafford in shotgun there. Put it in his hands or just kick the goddamn fg.
People will continue to laugh or “not so sure” you to death but I’m personally not so sure about McVay anymore. Sorry to say but Dan Campbell and the Lions would have came out and crushed that team by 30. Sean doesn’t have that fire anymore to blow teams out. Hasn’t in a long time.
That’s the kind of fumble that’s the difference between getting a home playoff game or having to go play in Detroit or GB.I'm beyond tired of Kyren Williams's fucking fumbling. And he always manages to pick the worst moments to do it. There's no f'ing excuse for that. If you get stopped short of the goal-line, we run more clock. PROTECT THE GOD DAMNED BALL WITH BOTH HANDS.
And FFS, if there's another blocked kick this year, fire the damn special teams coordinator.
100%. This is not the same McVay that went 44-21 his first 4 years. Not even close. Since then it's 28-28. Too many loses to teams we should beat and rarely blow out the bad teams.I do wonder sometimes. We never seem to blow out anyone anymore, even when we are clearly the superior team. And every game is full of headscratchers from him it seems like.
Last Sunday was exciting against the Colts, but we could have won that easier. We definitely could have won tonight if our playcallers on both sides of the ball didn't have their heads up their ass at critical times (McVay) or for most of the game (Shula - this was his worst effort as DC).
Simply no excuse for us to lose to a team that is this banged up and was coming off a loss to Jacksonville. And the buck stops with the head coach.
Which means more of the same year after year. Sneak into the playoffs, then lose a close away game. That’s the kind of fumble that’s the difference between getting a home playoff game or having to go play in Detroit or GB.
