I agree! Dude had 130 yards and 2 TD and folks want him out. The hit to the head caused the fumble, where's the outrage? If this were any other player folks would be going nuts.
League should take note, if this play was ok, then why not blast Hurts in the head during a tush push?
Lastly, in fairness to the folks down on Kyren, bad luck does seem to find him at the worst times
Yeah just punch Hurts in the head if it is legal.

Wasn’t bad luck, it was Karma. He should have been flagged for taunting on the first TD, and then fumbled. Not to mention another key drop.
Ok, clearly you're just a Kyren hater at this point. Corum Blows and has failed more drives in a half a season than Kyren did total in two years.

Watch Karty, he approaches the ball in slow motion. He has to learn to get the kick off faster. But the O-line and the defense dropped the ball tonight. I don't know if this can be fixed.

I actually used AI to determine if this has legs so to speak. KARTY actually kicks the ball slightly faster than the league average. So no this is not correct

I would have been happy if they called one but a running backs head isn’t protected like a quarterback who dropping back to pass. Thats just not a call they make.

Kyren loosened his grip before he got stripped. Thats why he fumbled.
So basically you didnt see the play
He got rocked by a 330# lineman who threw a haymaker that landed right on his facemask snapping his head.
If that's a legal play I want all my d-linemen swinging

So it is okay to hit someone in the head while they are running.

Did not know that.
I didn't say that. I wrote. " I've never seen that called. It happens a lot." Maybe it is a call they make. I've just never seen it.

Well they need to make that call if they can see the fumble they can see the hit.

Do you have an example of the refs calling that before in a game? In tight areas inside players are always punching at the ball.

To be honest, I have never seen a hit to the head like that before.

I'm not sure if that's a penalty. One would think it is, but he is a runner. The problem here is Kyren not being smart with the ball. In that situation, he needs to have two hands on it and the ball protected. No reason to risk anything. We don't need to score on that play. We're running clock. The key there is protecting the football.

One of those plays I guess that usually don't happen then. Williams didn't say anything about it, McVay either. The announcers didn't mention it. Which is more forcible? Helmet to helmet over the middle or a punch to the helmet? I'm not a force expert so I don't know.

Oh I completely agree. He should have had two hands on the ball but I think it should be a penalty if a defender throws a haymaker at a RB. If they miss the ball and hit the RB or hit the RB first before hitting the ball = penalty. Especially if it is to the head.

Well helmet to helmet is definitely more forcible but a punch to the head still should be a penalty imho (and I stress opinion).

Like I said, bad luck has a way of finding him. When you watch that play in slow motion, he got rocked and his whole body went limp. I dont know if 2 hands would have even mattered. Alas, if he didnt have a history of untimely fumbles, I suppose he'd have more support.
One thing is for sure, the book is out on Kyren, and d-lineman know to try to punch it out. That's what happened in Philly playoff game too
