Beck and Nussmeier aren't toolsy. And I want no part of Allar before the latter part of Day 3. I want no part of Beck period. If Nussmeier were to drop to the 4th round, I might think about it.
I should clarify what I mean by toolsy. I think Beck, Nuss, and Allar have enough strength and size to make every throw and come with some reasonable athleticism. You're probably right about their grades, but I think people might take shots on them by the 3rd or 4th. But I thought that about Quinn Ewers too, so I could be overvaluing QBs.

Beck is absolutely undraftable with his shitty attitude. He's thrown everyone under the bus except himself, and he doesn't have Aaron Rodgers talent to justify it.
I haven't heard about his attitude yet. I know he's not well regarded among UGA fans. I think he's gonna throw at the combine and someone will inevitably see him as unmolded clay.

Thanks for that lol I'm wondering if they last that long. People go QB crazy in the draft.
Oh they very easily could all be over drafted. I just don't think that group has anything special. Allar has an arm but doesn't know what to do with it really though I guess.

He is without a doubt a good fit for our offense. WCO type with enough arm for McVay.

My only prob with him is he's been overvalued in draft projections, because I think one year of starting and that one year being hit and miss is a concern. Also he's a bit on the small side. And it's not like his arm is strong enough to elevate him to that range either. He's got a good arm, and I'd like to have him on our depth chart, but I don't like the idea of taking him high.

There's other QBs in this class that translate better when draft value is considered, to my eye at least. But all that aside I do trust McVay with QBs so if he falls in love with Simpson during the pre-draft process I'll get behind it.
QB is the one position where I would think you take the best guy period. You don't draft a lesser QB because he's a better value in the 5th rd vs taking a better QB in the first, even if overvalued.

He threw his offensive line under the bus at Miami as well after the Louisville game, and he refused to shake hands with any Indiana player after Miami lost and when Mendoza was looking for him.

I wouldn't touch him with a pole the length of a football stadium. His attitude sucks, it's sucked since Georgia, and he doesn't have the talent or production to justify it.

Right. The real question is, can this guy be developed into a starter vs being a QB2? If the answer is yes, take em. Mid 1st isn't too high.

Neither Beck nor Nussmeier have much mobility. Beck's arm is underwhelming. Nussmeier's is average. If people take shots on them by the 3rd or 4th, good. It'll push another player down the board for us. Allar is toolsy, but he's not good at playing QB at this point. Don't know if that'll ever change. In the latter part of Day 3, I'd take a shot on him. If we're looking to draft a toolsy guy, I'd take my chances with Cole Payton over Beck and Allar.

If they're gonna reach for a QB, then reach for a 4th rounder. Don't reach for the position in the 1st round.
