I get about 3 dz a week in the summer.
Home made mignonette with red wine vinegar, brown sugar and crushed red pepper.
Wife likes em cooked on the grill with a bit of basil and parmesan cheese.
Oyster stuffing at Thanksgiving is the way to go

I've had scallops steamed right of the fishing boat at the fresh fish market/wharf in Washington DC, and they were like slippery white hunks of pale colored snot. The texture didn't allow me to enjoy the sweetness of them. I know it might be sacrilege in the House of Stu, but I loved Long John Silver's scallops when they made them. I buy a half bushel of oysters all the time from our local seafood place. Cammy and I have eaten the whole half bushel by ourselves. We love em.
I put mine on the grill until their shells pop open. That's my preferred way of eating them. I make a variety of toppings for them too. Horseradish is a must... I load that on.
I actually love beets. We probably buy a bunch every week and we used to grow a bunch of them. Steamed beets with a dollop of mayo. Yum!Lima fucking beans. Also Beets.....

I love a good apple pie - something I got from my dad. Put raisins in it and that is one disgusting mess of squishy, hot fruit. Cooked fruit in general makes me want to gag.
