Williams giving up a team leading 5 pressure is abnormal. That ankle definitely was not 100%. I wonder if they would have been better off going with their backup LT. Not sure who that is, of if he would have led the team in pressures conceded as well.
I definitely think the team would have been better served if he did not play.

The refs actually screwed the Rams in the first half. The Stafford pick should have been wiped out with a personal foul on #54 Warner and a whiner player did not get called for a facemask on Ramsey. PLUS, our first two drives ended after 3rd downs with the whiners holding our WRs in case nobody saw it.
The splattering of Stafford, I mean, he skidded on the turf, limp like he got knocked out. That happened after the int. Would it have changed the play because it was a personal foul ?
The Niners came out like punk thugs and the refs had their back in the first half.
They deserved this loss so freaking much.

Why is G-string the only one with his helmet off. And is his shit eating grin the image of 69er success??
I don't know it's weird. That poster pissed me off the moment I saw it. Those fucks.

Whoever they put in there was gonna get rolled. Shanny knew it. 9ers knew it. They were playing with their hair on fire through the first 3/4 of the game and still lost the time of possession and knew they were lucky to be in the lead.

Just like the Bucs game the Rams could have gone up in that one. But I am glad it went the way it did. Shanny is definitely better as a play caller when he's a little bit behind. Give him a lead and he shits his pants a bit.

Aside from management, Special Teams, lack of running back talent, bad OL and at best mediocre defense, not much.

Now that I think about it, he may have been on to something!

I really think the League hung us out to dry. The type of officiating we got put a lot of our players at risk of injury. The niners played a very dirty game. One of the worst I have witnessed in the last 20 years. I get that it’s the playoffs. But the whiners were definitely head hunting.

I’m not believing Warner’s apology is heart felt either. I’m just not buying it. That was as intentional a head butt from behind as I’ve ever seen. A real cheap shot. He (and Ward and the rest) will always be dirty in my eyes going forward.

The better team won. We are ready for the Super Bowl baby! Battle tested and we are ready to go!! GO RAMS!!
I think they felt that in order to win, they had to intimidate the Rams, "out-physical" them, and turn it into a street brawl. And they frequently crossed the line trying to achieve that. And in the case of Fred Warner -- went WAY over the line.

I think that might have been a post possesion foul because the pick happened before the hit. So likely the pick stands and then the penalty pushes them back inside the 5.

This. They were desperate. They knew what a strong team the Rams have.

It has to hurt for them too. IF the Rams win it all then they know the Rams took that championship from them because I have zero doubt that SF's defense would allow them to beat the Bengals. That is one hell of a unit we just survived.

I think you're right but when I first saw the play I thought it had happened just after he threw the pass which would have made it a close call.

I checked the NFL rules and a roughing the QB would have been a first down for the Rams. A personal foul post possession would have been half the distance to the goal against the whiners.

It would depend on what the call was.

Why the hell didn't he get ejected for that, or at the very least have 1 of his 2 personal fouls? Maybe they did but I had the volume low.
Need to bring in the college targeting rule where it can be reviewed. Maybe not as stringent as college, but an egregious cheap shot should get you ejected and a loss of a game check. That will clean that crap up quick.
