I saw yesterday , that the city of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl filed a lawsuit against UCLA to keep them from moving
then I saw last night , that UCLA said , hos can Pasadena file a lawsuit against something that hasn't even happened
just my guess here , but I'd guess that Pasadena had enough information that the discussions had taken place and gone far enough to warrant a lawsuit
[www.latimes.com]
this is just my thoughts now , but I can see both sides
UCLA did sign a extension all the way through 2044 , and the city of Pasadena agreed to upgrade the Rose Bowl , with the understanding would remain tenants , but just how many of those upgrades were based on UCLA alone , I have no idea
and now for UCLA's side , they signed that extension way back in 2014
if someone in 2014 have told you , UCLA would no longer even be in the Pac 12 , of have to pay 20 million dollars in NIL funds to student athletes every year who have even been at your universities for years , you would have asked them what they were smoking
but when it comes to college sports , we live in a whole nuther world
I'm sure when UCLA signed that contract , they could have never envisioned a world were they would travel to Maryland for a conference softball game
something to keep an eye one , one days the Bruins locker room might be right next to the Rams
