Re: the RBs who are available in reasonable abundancy... Do not trade for Gordon. Any of the rest look like they would help us to greater or lesser degree. Jacobs yes. Hunt yes. Montgomery yes. Gordon, however, will not move the needle for us.
And if they do, then it is past time to get rid of whatever dipshit is the lead voice in RB evaluation among the scouting group.
The Rams need a RB for sure. How many of those listed would be big enough upgrades that can really make a difference? I see one in Jacobs and he’s not likely to be available.
Reasons I love it: Cooks brings functional speed to the offense in the sense of being blazing fast and being a good receiver
Reasons I hate it: 20 million dollar cap hit. Seems redundant. Need edge help.
Maybe the Tams can get permission to play with 2 balls on offense, because I don’t see how they give all of these offensive skill positions touches, much less snaps.
If ARob is finally clicking, then how many snaps would be left for OBJ if he was signed?
nah he got traded for having like 3 concussions in the same season
I recall that. Maybe that was why he was running the wrong routes. I remember McVay being pissed about his mistakes.
My honest answer is that the Rams think they need more functional speed on the field. Don't get me wrong I think it's a bad idea but we know speed kills. We have TuTU Atwell who is really fast but does very little as a football player and then we have Van Jefferson who is fast but not game-breaking fast. At least not on a play-by-play basis. I could see it working but it's just too damn expensive.
That could be the case. If they do lack faith in Van’s health then a deep treat makes sense. But supposedly a short receiver is not a good fit with Stafford. Plus that would be fewer snaps for someone.
I guess if they feel that they cannot meet OBJ’s asking price then maybe it makes more sense. It just seems like way too many resources devoted to one position group.
Kupp
ARob
Skowronek
Van
Tutu

Cooks
It would look like they have no faith in Atwell.
