That's why dogs are social creatures. One dog will lose to one cat. 12 dogs will not.Yeah but, pound for pound a dog isn't going to look so smart when it gets its ass kicked and mauled.
Cats are stronger and faster.
Lemme know when you get a 100 pound cat.Yeah but, pound for pound a dog isn't going to look so smart when it gets its ass kicked and mauled.

Dogs are filthy and disgusting generally speaking. Always smell bad too. And then a fair few of them can kill you.
Cats are also disgusting but are less filthy and don't smell.
That so many people loves dogs is the biggest mystery to me.
I keep my opinion on how I feel about cats to myself
Animal temperament is definitely a variable, but all things being equal...a 50 lb dog has no chance vs a 50 lb cat. Of course, a 50 lb fire ant would pretty much be the top of the food chain. I'm just sticking to the more realistic argument here.Lemme know when you get a 100 pound cat.
One of my dogs acted like a wuss cat whenever he cornered a cat. Unfortunately, the cat clawed his nose and that was all she wrote. My dog knew he shouldn’t kill the cat so he just held his ground and looked over at me. I didn’t think anything of it. I’d seen this play out before. Eventually the dog would get bored and walk off, or the cat would take off and my dog would give chase, bouncing around wagging his tail. Pound for pound, this was a stupid, dead cat before I could blink.
He was a great dog and would even play with cats if they weren’t dicks to him. He would let one of our cats knead him with his paws and he’d do nothing but give him a big slobbery lick on top of the head.
Meh... cats are dumber than a post if you ask me.
Huge Ted flag for me was reading he hates dogs and loves cats? That’s some questionable character issues right there...

In all seriousness though, glad to have the guy for the long haul, he’s a good guy and a great player, now we need him to like dogs...
I get it. I've had a couple fun cats. But frankly, I get a pet to be more a part of the family and cats just don't fit that bill. My current lab is one of the worst dogs I've ever had and I'll still take his antics over any cat I've had. Can't see taking a cat out to the lake and having it swim around with us as we kayak around. And though a dog can make quick work of furniture, they usually learn not to and don't turn EVERYTHING into a scratching post. I also like having a pet that is always happy to see me at the end of a long day and gets absolutely giddy at the thought of getting a pig ear.I do like dogs as i said. Have owned both. More accessible, more fun, but i like the independence, curiosity and territoriality of cats. For me their more interesting to observe and be around. Then again i did have an especially interesting cat of my own that lived to be 18 yrs old.
