Fannin might have a higher ceiling than Taylor?!?
That has been stated during this lead up to the draft. I’m not convinced. That’s why I prefer Taylor. The only thing I could see that Fannin already had on Taylor was that he should run a faster 40. That’s not enough to sway me.

So why do you think Taylor at #32 to the eagles “makes a ton of sense” if you don’t like the guy at #26?
The ton of sense wasn't my comment it was Baldy's. I do not want a TE at 26 unless Loveland falls to us.

To each his own. Fannin MIGHT have a higher ceiling, but I believe Taylor is a safer pick and is more likely to develop into a solid pro.
Which is fine. But at pick #26, we should be aiming higher than that, especially with the talent in this TE class.

That's the only thing? I'd hope we could at minimum agree that Fannin is a bigger YAC threat.

Like on this forum or someone who's watched a lot of their tape

Just read an article this morning (sorry, having trouble posting the link, but it is on RamsWire in USA Today) in which Daniel Jeremiah says that drafting a CB at #26 makes the most sense for the Rams but not to sleep on them taking Taylor.

Just saying…

I would probably prefer a CB over TE at #26 given who might be there, but anything is possible.

It all cuz we lack that 2nd round pick. Love Fiske, but still wish we had a 2nd round pick somehow.
Just trade back . There’s a lot of scenarios were The Rams can move back. The value is there, but that said they could also move up in the draft to draft a circled player that falls.
The Rams still need to replace Hoecht at OLB/DE.

Loveland has medical issues?
Had late January surgery on an AC Joint injury he played through during the season.

The Rams team doctor did the surgery and provided letter stating that he wouldn't be cleared for full activities until preseason camp.

He also had a concussion last season.

Actually the bigger Taylor had the faster 40 time.

Are we really worried about a .05 difference in 40 time? Especially knowing the Rams don't care about 40 time they pay attention to game speed and performance? The fasted TE was a 4.63, Ferguson who I like a lot, and the slowest in the top 5 or 6 was a 4.71. That's not a game changing speed difference IMO. People talk about how fast Loveland is and he was a 4.7 yet somehow Fannin isn't fast at 4.71.

I'm not. I just pointed out the bigger kid had the faster time.

BTW, when did Loveland run his 40?

We’re is Mason Taylor going to be drafted ? IMO trading back & hoping he is there would be worth The Risk in the 40’s-50 ?
Even if he’s not there should be good value at that pick.

In the past there were 2 players I wanted to move up & draft.
Johnathan Taylor
the Landon Dickerson, but reed Humpries (3 other centers) turned out well.
-SO what’s the best thinking ? The Rams still oils have traded up,but what’s the price. Then is it worth it to trade back ?

I’ll also stick with trading up at some point to draft Jihaad Campbell who can do it all on defense being the Center Piece.

Say what you want Old School. The upside of Mason Taylor is HUGE. I played the tape & saw his drills.
I like his vision & open field YAC.
Then you see how smooth &’soft hands, only to look at his age & bloodlines.

I’m for trading back though & take one of the TE’s at 90.At 26 there should be a better option other wise still. The Rams need a ILber & that is were The trade back would allow The Rams find value at both positions.

I have no idea. It wouldn't shock me to see the Rams draft him at #26. It also wouldn't shock me to see him still on the board in the 40-50 range. Just too many evenly rated players in that range from what I understand.

I wouldn’t agree on the The better YAC & upside. I do agree that there is more value later in the draft.26 is a little rich in comparison.

Don’t know your view on Cooper Kupp coming out.I know I liked The younger WR,but would’ve doubled dipped on Kupp.George Kittle fell &would’ve drafted & maybe doubled dipped with him ?
The 12 is always an excellent POWER option.

That’s why trading back might make the most sense. The Rams have shown the ability to Draft well in the Middle Rounds.
