Im saying the same thing over and over. It started with you who made a circular argument.
Its simple, the Rams will either draft somebody at #26, or they wont. Can we agree on that?
If NO, then there isnt anything left to say
If YES, then I'll repeat the same dang thing.
If they draft a player at 26, it will be a guy they like, regardless of what some feel the draft value is.
LoL.
You only thought it was a circular argument because you didn't realize I was talking about the Rams board the entire time.
But yes! We agree that they will draft somebody at 26. LOL.
And I agree that whoever they draft, they will like - i.e. they're going by their board, not anyone else's. IMO these two premises were never in question.

Edit: I dropped out of the discussion when I realized there was a whole lot of misunderstanding going on...

This question is what started the whole subthread (before Dieter was involved) when some thought you were saying that the Rams should draft Taylor at 26 even if he was ranked at 50 since they wouldn't pick again until 90. The argument was that they should trade down. When I stated the opinion that they should trade down in such a scenario, my assumption was that we were all talking about the Rams board.
Gotcha. But you must admit that since no one has access to the Rams draft board that 50th ranking had to be assumed to be some sort of draftnik media consensus ranking.

Right. We don't have access to the Rams board so for discussion purposes we have to have something to reference. Right? I still assumed that we all understood that the Rams aren't going by the consensus rankings. They're just useful for us to have discussions.

Only if each draft is the same every year and the NFL teams who have all the information and providing this take to draftnik media don't have know what they are talking about. Or most of the draftnik media has decided to render the exact same mis-information.
The issue is these draftniks assign their own grading system to prospects. They then assign roynd grades to a range number grades. These are both different than what teams do. So fans see these things and male assertions about a players draft value and judge players and teams based on these draftnims ratings and rankings.

That is the part that is over blown taken out of context and is just silly. Just because some internet idiot says a guy has an 89.8 rating and that makes him a 2nd round pick has no bearing on reality. And people like you throwing this only 12 first pick nonsense doesn't help anything.

I get the grading system may be different.

But when NFL teams actually tell NFL Media that there are 12-15 first round talents in a draft class as an overall assessment of that draft class (in comparison to other draft classes) it's nonsense and they are lying? Adam Schefter just said something similar on a podcast. He's not scouting anybody. Even some of the draft media saying the very same thing are former NFL Scouts like David Jeremiah and Bryan Broaddus who get info from friends still in the league.

People are not understanding that first round talent and blue chip talent are basically the same thing?

It's a draft class comparison. That's all.

Yeah. That way people can argue over who we over drafted, and who we should have taken that was still available, and we could have moved down and still got him, and, and, and….

Higs and Parkinson are free agents next year so I do feel they will address the position in the draft. They should and could draft two.

I really only like Taylor for the combo type. He'd be a good Higbee replacement. Possibly Evans too just not super excited about him. Hawes would be a good in-line TE.
Taylor is my guy as well. I am also on board for adding Hawes later. These two would be an ideal combo.

From what I’ve seen Warren has only had one good season.

1,200 & 110 catches.
Other 3 years 600 yards ?
No thanks & does anyone know his 40 ???
