Corbett's olé there on that final big pass play was some bullshit. He didn't even slow Suh. This is why the Rams will let you test FA Corbs.
Yea for real..him and Edwards both have some games where they get beat a lot. I hope we upgrade one of the guard spots this off-season for sure. Overall the line has been great, but still room to improve on the interior. Hav and Noteboom were lights out yesterday though, and Allen played very well.

I did expect a much better season from Edwards this year, but he's still on the upswing and more importantly that rookie contract. Corbs just doesn't rate a FA deal when we have guys who aren't all that much dropoff behind him on the depth chart. Seems like both Corbs and Allen leave in FA and Rams probably switch it over to Boom at LT. Good chance this is the starting 5 for camp next year IMO:

LT: Boom
LG: Edwards
C: Shelton
RG: Evans / Anchrum compete
RT: Hav

If they really like Jackson and want him to be one of their starting 5 then they can move Hav too. Hav has value in trade and saves us cap. So there is a chance that we see major turnover on the OL of every starter but Edwards. Unlikely of course, but possible.

So, considering our very late round draft picks we'll have available, you feel comfortable unloading both of our two anticipated pre-season starters at Center ? Edwards, Shelton, Evans & Anchrum are cheap, but this is what you want our starting interior OL to look like ?

I would hate that. Filling one vacancy would be bad enough.

Yes.

I don't think there is much dropoff from Allen to Shelton, if any at all. It's a wash because Shelton is probably better in the run game and would likely improve with more play time in pass pro. Both are subpar so Allen will leave in FA.

Corbett happens to play a position where we have depth. OG we have pieces to absorb his loss. I am not even remotely worried about losing Corbs because I think the Rams value him more than he is worth. Rams love the guy, I think he's average at best so again little dropoff and next man up. This is the price of a star studded lineup. You cannot keep all the solid types, gotta let some of them go.

Where I get concerned is LT. And I don't think the Rams have decided btw, this playoff run will determine which way they go. If Whit returns for example and we crush the next two opponents while he plays well and then he wants to return for 2022 they probably let Boom walk in FA. Or if Boom handles the job the rest of the way and excels he will probably be the guy. Rams are a meritocracy there IMO. Even when they have preconceptions when the play on the field speaks they tend to go that route. Especially now that Kromer is gone.

Now we could say that too much turnover is bad for an OL and I agree with that. But this has been building while they milk out Whit's career. So there is definitely a decision pending with LT and I don't know which way they will go just spitballing here.

What I would like to see, or what I think would be ideal is the Rams keeping Whit around on a super cheap contract and spending the FA money they would have spent on Boom on Scherff instead. I have always wanted him in horns and he would be our next leader among what would be a pretty young group of linemen. And keeping Whit around you can work in whichever guy you think might be our next LT. If Boom gets a big payday we get a round 3 pick. But I realize they probably won't have money to chase a guy like Scherff.

Love Schraeg's take there. In that moment with Tom Brady looming on the other sideline... After that string of ridiculous turnovers. His legacy on the line in many ways. To focus in and make those plays he made just damn. Feels good to see a Ram player rewrite what people think in a good way. Especially one the Rams risked so much to go get.

I've watched that final possession probably 20 times already. So clutch. Now let's beat the fucking shitters without the need for the heroics.
Did you hear Kay? She said people keep saying Stafford had no help in Detroit and that’s disrespectful to guys like megatron, Reggie Bush and Joique Bell. Reggie Bush and Joique Bell? Seriously? They’re not bad players but I’m not sure you made the point you thought you were. Kinda sounds like a shot at Stafford, especially after the way he played yesterday. Is it possible that Kay’s a hater?

I like the idea of bringing Scherff in, I think plugging him in settles things in the middle no matter who the C is. Edwards seems to have too many whiffs at just the wrong time too but changing 4 of 5 with no legit young studs on a SB team would be a tough one to swallow.

I do think they need to be ready to plow in front of Akers next year. That would go a long way toward extending our dominance and may make some others less needed on the O side of things.

Kay's kind of stupid tbh. She's hot though. So I'll endure listening to her while I watch her lips and let my imagination run wild.

But I don't sweat her opinion ever tbh. Whole time she's talking my mind is doing bad things.

Looked like nobody really knew what to say to what she said, someone even tried to interrupt her but she wasn’t having it.

She's definitely a well documented Rams hater. Something that goes back to the St. Louis days/move. Fuck her and Kyle Brandt's doofy ass self. They were both hating on him today...get fucked ass hats.
