I think this is a tough matchup.

C.J. Stroud
Nick Chubb
Nico Collins
Jayden Higgins
Christian Kirk

That offense is no joke and will test our secondary.

Texans defense technically ranked better than ours in 2024.

I think Houston’s Offensive line is their Achilles heel.

Last years Rams stats need to be taken with a grain of salt. That goes for offense, due to injuries early, and on defense they played a lot of young players with a new defensive coordinator. It took some time to sort it out. Omar Speights starting midway, Verse started to use a more controlled rush, and the DBs began to gel in the system as the season went on. Aside from the Bills score the defense ended the season very strong.

Just a fashion note. Anyone know which color jersey we're wearing Sunday. Honestly, can't remember not knowing the FULL Rams Uniform schedule this close to the Season opener.

Don't the Texans have an average O-line? If so, I could see the Rams taking control of this game.
They had an awful OL last season and its really the ultimate reason Stroud struggled. They almost fully changed it out but also traded away the best lineman they had. I really hope they haven't gel'd and our rush is all over them the whole game. That alone could win us the game.

Will Anderson, Hunter, and Stingley are crazy talented and do scare me on D. I see a whole lot of running from us that will also include Hunter. First time our starting offense has taken real snaps this year and that should ease them in a bit.

And they traded their best lineman Laramy Tunsil to Washington. We should be able to put some pressure on Stroud. Just don't let him take off and do damage with his legs.

They traded Tunsil partially because their rookie O-lineman, Aireontae Ersery, looked good.

It looks really vulnerable otherwise, though.

I’m going to be stubborn on the Rams had better be coming out of the gate looking good on offense and scoring points this year.

How about we get a season where we aren’t hearing McVay preach about “overcoming adversity” every week. It’s okay to stumble occasionally but I mean…

Go out there, be ready and fuck the bad teams up.

Be in position to compete for the #1 seed

I hate to say it but I feel our offense might struggle against their Defense, they have excellent pass rushers and a very good secondary. Our Defense needs to kick ass against their Oline.

The way I see it we should have an edge at quarterback. Bigger edge at running back. Edge at offensive line and tight end. Slight edge at receiver. They do have a couple good ones.

Defensive front 4's are a wash. The also have two good edge rushers. Probably better at ILB too. Their secondary is clearly better than ours. I think our kicking game might be a little better.

The bottom line is can our blockers keep heat off Stafford? Can our pass rush keep Stroud in the pocket? Do both and we should win comfortably. After facing guys like Murray and Hurts twice last year they should have a better feel for containment.

Says kmramsfan, the prolific Rams Homer : " I think the Rams will get 5-6 sacks on Stroud, rush for 175 yds, and get at least one turn over."
There you have it. :helmet:

So yeah my brilliant gameplan is jump on them early on the scoreboard.
