Sorry Avenger, but my constant criticism is more directed at the decision to draft him over the obvious need meeting talent in Creed Humphries. I am not at all convinced that Tutu will even make the 53 man roster this year. He's not a return man because that's Brandon Powell's job, and he doesn't break into the top 4 or even 5 WR's in the Rams WR room. Although McSnead does so well in other places, they have a blind spot in valuing inside lbers and interior linemen in the draft, it seems to me, and it drives me nuts every time I see that Humphries is doing so well, and we HAD him for the taking if we wanted.

I want Tutu to prove me wrong, but unfortunately, I'm not worried about that happening.
You must be fun at parties.

Loyal is just having a bit of fun.

He was also beaten up by a young ballerina as a boy, creating his psychological aversion to the word Tutu.

I’d classify this issue (essentially, arguing about our WR4/5) as a “championship team problem.”

I didn't know John Gacy was a Tutu fan? Be awkward if Tutu ever had a construction job lol

We could put injuries out there for hundreds of players but I have yet to see any player under 170 lbs play a long time in the NFL
I agree. Gary Clark was 5'9", 173 lbs and played in that era when there was no such thing as a defenseless receiver. He lasted 11 years. Alvin Garrett was even smaller, 5'7" 178 lbs but he only lasted 5 years. He did knock Cosell out of the booth though! But yeah Tutu needs to put on about 10 lbs. He's 5' 8 7/8" 165 lbs.

And I should also add I want to see Tutu at Minimum 175 lbs

173 lbs is the bare minimum for a player and Gary Clark was a tough dude.

I just don't see Tutu being a tough dude. Maybe he is. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Anything below 185 is not a great sign. His frame wouldn’t let him get to 185 naturally.

So lemme get this straight. You've never seen a player under 170 in the league. Can't say I have either. But it's okay Gary Clark was 3 lbs heavier because he was "a tough dude"? For playing 11 years, sure. But Tutu isn't.........because he was injured in 2021? Hey I'm not saying he can cut it or he can't because I haven't seen enough to say, either way. Nowhere near enough. I just wonder how some fans can see him in 3 preseason games (where he played pretty well), 10 snaps on offense in the regular season, 15 returns and are SURE he's a bust. I wonder what's the center of that thought process? :sunglasses:

Classic case of CDS - Creed derangerment syndrome.
I have never, and either has anyone else on any other team, seen so much discussion (whining) over losing out on a fucking center at pick whatever the hell it was.

Talk about silly season - we won the flippin' superbowl with our (oh btw Pro Bowl) center - yet some continue to piss and moan about losing the greatest center in the history of the NFL - with the accompanying conclusion that who we DID pick is therefore a bust, after having seen him (as @PARAM said) play in only a couple of games.

Can't prove it, but what I DO know, is this includes posters who probably didn't know Humphrey from Apollo until after the draft. :laugh3:

I never said for sure that he is a bust.

I have always said I like his talent.

I just don't think he is big enough. I believe (and that is the key word here "believe" he doesn't have the frame to take the pounding in the NFL. I want him to prove me wrong.

I don't remember Gary Clark's physique but he was one tough dude is all I remember.

Maybe Tutu is a tough dude as well but one bad hit and he is out for the season is not giving me any high hopes to that matter.

Gary Clark never got injured and Tutu was already hurt in his first season. Maybe it was a fluke injury. I sure hope it was but I am extremely worried it wasn't a fluke injury and this is just a trend to come.

WR Billy "White Shoes" Johnson was 5'7", 165lbs and played 15 years. One of the best returners EVER.
Okay we have one guy who was an awesome returner and decent receiver under 170 lbs (he was listed at 170 lbs but I bet he was closer to 165)

Tutu has not shown he can be a good returner but if he does similar receiver stats to Johnson's first four years, I will say it was an okay pick and won't whine about it too much. He still seems at best to be a gadget player and I don't like taking a gadget player with a second round pick.
