That game and the 2018 Pittsburgh game will go down as the worst officiated games hands down.

That's the whole point too.

If the refs are not willing to call a penalty at that point of the game, then what's the disincentive for the defense to commit them? If I was a defender and I knew that "hey, they won't call it now because it's late in the game" then hell yeah, I'd grab a jersey and commit defensive holding. You'd be stupid not to in that case.
I heard the Patriots once won a SB playing that way. No lie.

Yeah buddy, you want to go there ? Gambling has never had a impact on major US sports right ? Hurt did not give his team even a remote chance to win the game, and that is his job. Basically threw it in the dirt when there was zero reason to do such. So I said so.
This is not the place for this type of argument, but you want to go "tin foil hat" with me, lets go. Far from it, so if there is a place at ROD where we can "discuss" conspiracy theory stuff where I will wipe the floor with you, by all means lets do this.
If you have been paying attention many of the things people like you have been labeling others as conspiracy nuts have been proven true time after time the last 2 years.
When and where pal ? Just not here and the last I will speak of it on RAMS/NFL TALK.

I can wipe the floor with you around here, l

That's a lot of Wiping you have planned! Did I hit-a-nerve? Sounds like you have a little agenda.

Personally, I need facts before I will consider the legitimacy of a conspiracy theory about a fixed Super Bowl.

If that simple explanation does not satisfy you, then we can meet in the school-yard after recess.

Seen you guys talk about that Pittsburgh game and it still doesn’t ring a bell. I probably missed it because if it’s in the same breath as that Seattle game :explode1:

This was just one of the horrible calls at the 1:50 mark (Sorry it was Rams vs Steelers 2019) - I didn't watch the video to see if they showed any of the other calls. The ball clearly is going forward out of Goff's hand after he lost his grip. That is NOT a fumble. It was a bullshit call. Even the Steelers defense were coming back on the field after the replay on the screen and they were surprised as everyone when the fumble was not overturned.

The NFL got tired of bad officiating/missing calls/making bad calls, so they instituted replay. They've altered it a number of times in a number of ways, experimented with was is and isn't allowed to be challenged and even put an"eye in the sky" to expedite the correction of truly obvious errors, to keep the flow of the game moving. Nobody can put forth a convincing argument, had the eye in the sky been allowed to call down on erroneous penalty calls, the unnecessary roughness on a totally still Jalen Ramsey vs Geno Smith wouldn't have been reversed. Or the roughing the kicker call in the same game. Probably the intentional grounding and taunting too (though that last one might have slipped by). So the question has to asked, if they can figure out something as complicated as an 18 week schedule full of issues like stadium sharing between two NFL teams, stadium sharing between NFL and MLB teams. TNF, SNF, MNF, London, Germany, Mexico and byes for each club, they can certainly figure out a way to install parameters for eliminating some of these errors, obvious to anyone with a TV. There's a bank of monitors available to an official in the booth with the ability to reverse, slow down and determine the error in the amount of time it takes the field officials to mark the ball and whistle it ready for play. For a multi- billion dollar business supposedly ever concerned with the quality of their product, it's ridiculous to believe it's not correctable. (Having said that, Bradbury's tug/grab was a penalty in any game, in any week at any point in the game.) But if they can't improve the process, then make everything available to a coach for challenge.

We settled it yesterday. Like real men do ... in a Ring.

Actually, I have a quick video to share. It's kind of brutal to watch.

Did you get this while listening to Anthony Gargano on The Fanatic?
I dont think he would agree...

BTW, this was on my mind heading into the playoffs. Goff might have been the best QB they played this yr, considering Rodgers was banged up and struggling when they played him. Dak & Cousins were the only other decent QB's they played.

Lol fair point, I just didn’t like the call to end the game. Would’ve been more exciting to see what Philly could do with some time left on the clock. In hindsight, it would’ve been better for the DB to let him score, assuming Mahomes makes the throw.
That seems to be the basis for a lot of the complaining, it would’ve been an exciting last few minutes, but that doesn’t seem like something that should be affecting the way the play is viewed. I’ve heard plenty of people say that it ruined what could’ve been an exciting finish, well that’s not something we should be trying to manufacture, either it is or it isn’t.
There were no other receivers on that side so there wasn’t anything else for the ref to look at and that was going to be a td, the db was done and he knew it. It was anticlimactic sure, but this ain’t the movies where it always comes down to the last play.
