I think there's a better than zero chance that we hear on Monday that Stafford's had some kind of "procedure" on the back and we'll have a recovery time frame.

Its also possible McVay wants to wait till tomorrow to give an update because last week he thought Stafford would practice Monday after the workout. Wants to wait this time before announcing anything.

Ryans isn’t a dummy either. He’s the an ex DC for the 9ers who has seen jimmy g up close enough to see what I see. A lot of INTs and near misses have come on that 12-15 yard out pass area. The texans have two very good CBs. I expect ryans to have those guys sitting on that pass. Heck, ramsey was sitting on that same route when he dropped a possible pick 6 in the NFCCG. There’s a reason why jimmy g lead the league in INTs before the raiders benched him—and that was despite being suspended at the beginning of the season.

Game 1 vs the texans just got dicey (if Stafford can’t go).

My skepticism of jimmy g aside, the Rams CAN WIN with g-string, and it will look familiar.
A dominate top 5 defense and an equally strong run game. Thats how the 9ers won with him, and that’s what the Rams will have to do.

First who’s saying Jimmy G is starting? You don’t even knows whose starting at LT.

I call that freaking funny. You do yo BOO

I mean he’s been QB1 throughout training camp. What would indicate otherwise?

I’d say pretty easy to figure that one out Genius! At least until OTHERWISE told.

If it is Jimmy G which actually IMO might be the best way to start the season at this point.Would not have me worried on how he handles The Rams Offense.

Jimmy G's calling card is living underneath and that's a tough living at this level. Also he won't have the run game Ratboy gave him in SF, nor will he have a lot of underneath pass catchers tuned to that type of offensive approach guys who are skilled RAC. McVay runs a WCO but philosophically he's got that natural Coryell type offensive mind where he prefers to stretch it deep not just horizontally. And Jimmy in that usage suffers, to the extent that the offense will change to feature a lot more short yardage throws and dumps.

Which is fine as long as the defense plays at an elite level out the gate. We really don't know what they're going to look like, other than we have on paper a front that should make opposing OL shake in their boots. But what is that going to equate into. If they can keep opponents under let's say 19 points over the first month while this shit with Stafford sorts, then we could have that fast start we all want. But if they slip into the mid 20s we'll be dropping games. So a lot of the Rams fortunes as it pertains to the early going will be on the backs of the defense.

OK. On topic. I’d rather eat a bag of dicks than sign Cousins.
Off topic. Of course I want MS healthy, but everyone on this thread watched the shit show in the 90’s and 2000’s.

This is our Rams. IDGAF who our QB ends up being. I’m there period. As are all of you.

The Rams don’t even know unless they know the news is all bad concerning AJ and Stafford.

But every practice SOMEBODY has to play LT1 and QB1. Right now neither AJ nor Stafford are running with the ones, but SOMEONE is. The Rams have to prepare for week 1.
It would be ridiculous and negligent for McVay, at this point, not to have a plan to start opening day without AJ or Stafford.

I have a gut feeling Stafford had a good practice. Passed with flying colors, the Rams don't want to repeat the same mistake, and Stafford wakes up tomorrow, and his back doesn't feel right
