Agreed. And this is in combination what makes the current situation so alarming.I dont think you can put Stafford out there with a backup LT, whereas the backup QB are fodder.
Only way Cousins would make sense is if Atlanta were to move him to us for a late rounder, and if they were to absorb a considerable portion of his salary. This is because the Rams have an equivalent QB in Jimmy, which is to say that low end type starter.I mean, even if Cousins was a tad better than Garappolo…Jimmy has been here with the playbook for a year and is here in camp getting a ton of reps with starters.
It would be very one step forward two steps back to move off of that at this point.
I bet Sean prefers Jimmy......
I suppose. But by degree Banks scourge of incompetence lasted longer, and caused more embarrassment. Rypien was like a brief bout of diarrheaBanks was much better then Rypien.
Agreed. I just don't get this Cousins talk. Why do we even have Garapolo (at a bargain cap hit, and healthy) if we are going to consider the leftover husk Cough*SamBradford2.0*cough that used to be Kirk "You like that" Cousins??I mean, even if Cousins was a tad better than Garappolo…Jimmy has been here with the playbook for a year and is here in camp getting a ton of reps with starters.

Hey! ... Let's not be taking Cheap Shots against @Loyal.Agreed, any sane person would.
Yeah! It's not nice to pick on the less fortunate among usHey! ... Let's not be taking Cheap Shots against @Loyal.
Hard to understand, granted, great guy, cerebral and can learn an offense quick, but IMHO, offers nothing and I would rather give someone else a chance that has more upside. This is one of my biggest issues with the NFL is coaches want guys that won't hurt them, but they ignore guys that could actually help them.
Yeah! At least get Lagavulin 11 yr old Offerman Edition Single Malt Whiskey with which to do shots!Yeah! It's not nice to pick on the less fortunate among us
Not to mention his huge contract! No way we torpedo our future especially with 2 first round picks in 2026Agreed. I just don't get this Cousins talk. This reminds me of the guys that see some veteran wide receiver is let go and always speculate if we should take a flyer on them.
NO! Just No
I want to agree with this. But I think we need to see Bennett do what he did in game one in the next two games. And as the quality goes off the field pull that ball down and avoid the INTs when necessary.Cousins would not even be better than Bennett imo
Hobos need love too so kick with soft, fuzzy slippers if you must.Hey! ... Let's not be taking Cheap Shots against @Loyal.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that Kirk Cousins is “finally healthy again and has impressed in training camp.”
Cousins dealt with a throwing arm injury in-season last year, but in the video segment, Pelissero curiously references Cousins’ 2023 Achilles tendon rupture, with regard to Cousins’ current health. The comment seemingly acknowledges that Cousins’ ability to plant and drive off of his surgically repaired right leg was compromised last year. The good news is Cousins’ zip has apparently returned. Pelissero names the Rams as a potential trade partner, given Matthew Stafford’s back injury and Cousins’ familiarity with head coach Sean McVay’s scheme via Falcons’ OC Zac Robinson, McVay’s former understudy. Cousins will not play in the Falcons’ preseason Week 2 game against the Titans tonight.

Stafford has a scheduled workout Saturday, so folks will just have to relax until then
