By this logic, shouldn't Robinson have been the #1 when Kupp and Nacua were out? He was invisible, while Atwell racked up 300 yards.

Your circular logic is ridiculous.
He played more early in the year when the offense played its worst. Now more weapons are available and he is moving further down the depth chart. So making mistakes in the fewer chances he gets, is nails in his coffin.

I keep watching Corum and think his vision sucks. Kyren is a far superior back. I’d rather have Rivers back behind Kyren. He hits the holes and gets some yards

If the kid is pressing, I'd posit that he knows he's never going to be allowed to settle in. And he's had a couple of excellent blitz pick-ups when given the chance as well as catching both his targets. Is he a rookie & thus prone to the occasional rookie mistake ? No doubt, but if you can't see from his college tape & some flashes so far for The Rams that he brings some sizzle that KW doesn't, I think you're being reflexively defensive of KW or McVay or projecting some armchair GM bias. Were you opposed to the Corum pick ?

I don't want to make this KW OR BC ; I'm advocating for AND, not OR, but Kyren has averaged over 4 per carry in only 3 games so far & his average is 3.7 for the season. More than a little of that is blocking, of course, but he's not an explosive play guy at the best of times; his 26 yarder vs MINN was nearly twice as long as his next longest run of the year. Again, no Kupp, Puka, or Higs blocking for him, but he outruns no one on a regular basis.

Even in '23 when his average per carry was 5.0 ( a number inflated past his typical average by two huge games vs the woeful Cards), his longest was 24 yards. As I wrote, his after contact toughness & nose for the EZ are tremendous assets, he just doesn't have the complete package of an elite back that would justify utterly dominating snaps.

Bigger picture, I think it's objectively hard to defend Mcvay's scheme use of RBs compared to the other adherents to the Shanahan base scheme. It's like he has no appreciation for the run game as a weapon, just a way to bring up safeties to the LOS to relax coverage, bleed clock, or the occasional short yardage situation.

Didn't mean anything pejorative by the GM comment; just pointing out that it's common for draftniks to fight for/against players based on their pre-draft positions. We all play favorites & think we're right about guys, often until there's overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Just this week, I called out a guy on YT for describing Fiske as a "whiff" & a major "project" before the season began. He did the same thing last year for LaPorta. Funnily enough, he hasn't replied to my recent check-in to see if he'd changed his position.

BUT if you're going to make sweeping generalizations based on 21 rushes, then you open yourself to questions about reasonable objectivity. If you don't like it, move on.

21 rushes is all we have to go on.
I would guess Rivers had a similar number. Of the two, Rivers ran better. It’s almost an apples to apples comparison.

I already said I loved the Corum pick. But the Rams need to win now. I didn’t say to trade him. I said I’d prefer Rivers get the snaps.

Maybe Corum isn’t quite ready yet. Rivers was more effective. Put him back. Putting in Corum so he can run into the line. Then putting Kyren right back in isn’t helping Kyren at all. It’s a long season, he needs a bit less snaps to keep him fresh as the season goes on.

When Rivers was subbing in he’d be in for much longer than they seem to put Corum in.
