I remember wanting Murphy in the first and Sweat in the 2nd. They got picked just before we could pick them. It's looking like that was the best thing that could have happened. Verse and Fiske are looking like the top two defensive rookies.

Teams that passed on Verse must be disgusted with themselves. Even the Rams almost fucked that up. Much as I love Bowers we needed that DL infusion.

"impressive" isn't the word for Kyren's workload, imo. Frustrating, maybe even asinine. This guy is going to be Gurley 2.0; broken before his time. Coldheartedly riding a lead back into the ground is hardly unique, but it usually isn't done when you have what looks to be an equal , albeit green, alternative, is it ?

I've seen nothing from Corum to suggest he isn't ready to contribute. Am I wrong ? I even think his glaringly obvious greater quickness could be a real asset. Kyren is tough & great at setting up blocks, but his lack of speed IS a problem outside the RZ, imo. We've seen some signs of flex in McVay's obsessive 11P approach while the offense was limited by injuries. Until we see him build and use a RB group that has equal flex/versatility, he's got a serious Achilles Heel, imo.

So weird that a guy who is so innovative in the pass game can be so stubbornly old school with the bellcow thing, esp when his cows are so uniformly small . I watch the Gibbs & Montgomery usage, for example, & get sick with envy, tbh.

But not love for his great route and snag in overtime? He also blew by two Seahawks and was wide open but Stafford underthrew it by miles.

I keep watching Corum and think his vision sucks. Kyren is a far superior back. I’d rather have Rivers back behind Kyren. He hits the holes and gets some yards

Maybe Corum is too fast for his own good. He needs to be more patient to see the hole open before accelerating

I was thinking about what you said concerning Tutu’s lack of physicality, when Tyler Johnson snatched that ball from Reek Woolens grasp and thought to myself, if that’s Tutu, it’s a likely pick

I was not really high on Johnson but I’ve come around. He’s a physical receiver and when he gets his chances he makes the most of them. I find myself wishing he was ahead of Tutu on the depth chart.

Nacua (12/17 = 70%)
Kupp (34/49 = 69%)
Atwell (25/39 = 64%)
DRob (21/38 = 55%)

If that game winner had been thrown to him instead of DRob he would have shortarmed it and then jumped up looking for a flag.

I agree but think Corum's time will come. McVay for whatever reason doesn't seem to trust rookie RBs. Williams didn't get many snaps either year 1. I expect something much closer to a time share next year, and that has nothing to do with Kyren's play, he has been incredible.

McClendon started at RT in the first game of the season, in Detroit.
Believe they view Bruss only as an emergency tackle.
Guessing Noteboom or McClendon start at Right Tackle next Monday, with the other being the 3rd OT.

Memories are super fallible and prone to bias. That's what's unreliable.

After 5 minutes of research, the league average for contested catches is roughly 45.5%. From 2022 - 2024, Atwell has had 8 contested catches in 21 targets which equates to 38%. (Per www.playerprofiler.com)

Much closer to the league average than what you're projecting.

By this logic, shouldn't Robinson have been the #1 when Kupp and Nacua were out? He was invisible, while Atwell racked up 300 yards.
