Thanks to all of you who have attended practice

It’s early, I know, but for those of you who have attended is the offense on track to be a force?

What is your impression of the defense? They typically have the advantage in the first weeks of camp but no rookies seem to have flashed, is this correct? The DBs seem to be giving up a lot of big plays according to reports. I haven’t heard of any pass rush to speak of. Colour me concerned

It's time to watch some 42-38 games.

After we had to endure 5 years of fisher ball maybe the fan base needs some games like this to even it out.

Some videos from yesterday's practice. One trend I've noticed in training camp videos is our linebackers getting burned badly in the passing game. Just don't have much talent there in passing game beyond Jones it seems. Makes sense they've started using Lake and Yeast more in mid range. Which isn't anything new from Rapp doing it last couple of seasons I guess.

Good videos.

Just shows you how dialed in Stafford is already.Rozeboom against Puka shows how Fast & strong he is over the middle.
-The Rams got a steal there, but it does show Roz might get CUT!!Then your question is the Rams have the depth they need at LBEr ?

Higbee is that good & has done it against The Best.Ben Sko showed excellent hands, but not much separation & the DB/LBEr. Was upset he didn’t get there. Wasn’t that Cobie Durant?

Love to hear that Yeast and Lake are both showing growth and doing enough to be on the field at the same time as Fuller. Seem like smart, instinctive football players to me.

I have a hard time judging the lines in TC. The D had its moments as did the O. The DBs had a better day yesterday, my biggest concern is the lack of turning around to play the ball. I hope it doesn't result in a lot of PI flags

Is there any point in keeping JAG linebackers over better players at other positions unless they show on special teams? In which case perhaps Hummel > Roz who hasn’t done anything from recall

We need to watch the waiver wire IMO especially for any team loaded at the position

I'm heading out at 2:30, park in handicap. Will be sitting in handicap section in either endzone or north stands, depending on where TV screens are set up for 11 on 11.

First things first though, VetRamFan and I have to have our Inaugural beer in the endzone. Ramball and Flatlyner you guys need to join us.
Really wish I had seen this, I would have. We were struggling with security at fence line to see the action. They'd tell us all to sit down, and we would, then a bunch of folks would just go back to the fence line over and over again lol

In my opinion, from what I saw yesterday, the offense wasn't really clicking all that well. Outside of the linked clips above, there were not many super successful plays outside of short passes. All deep attempts were incomplete. Now, granted, we don't have the best WR in the leagued suited up, but, I thought the D was well ahead of the O yesterday.

The longest play attempt may have been a deep pass to Nuka in the right side of the endzone (incomplete). He landed about 2 feet from us at the fence line. What a large dude he actually is in person.

Higs seems to be having a great camp. Would be nice to see him go off this year. Also re: Puka I have lost my battle in trying to temper my enthusiasm, feels like he's going to help us provided he stays healthy.

Agree. Higs looked like the top weapon yesterday. Van made some solid mid range catches also.

I see our DBs backing up and letting everything in front of them so far in these videos posted so far

And then getting burned over the middle

I am getting concerned that our youth on defense is going to be a bit of a hindrance
Yeah, I'm expecting our defense to look pretty bad at times for the first half of the season. My hope is the offense comes out of the gates on fire and we can outscore other teams until the youth settles down and starts reacting instead of thinking. Our path to the playoffs probably depends on that happening.
