Maybe his ability to get the defense in the right formations? Idk. But to your other point, I'd 100 percent keep signing contracts if teams would give them to me. Correct. McVays laughable hard stance on Reeder starting last year was borderline psychotic. I would literally rather play with 10 players on defense.

What a Bunch of - whatever! I do agree that getting rid of EJ53 was shocking & put Reeder in the Middle of Tge Rams defense.
The thing is he is a Shula(Staley,Raheem) guy. He knows The Rams defense well & was a green dot guy. He is an experienced Special Teams guy as well..
It’s RIDICULOUS the gate though,and of course true Ram Haters. I get it I was PISSED at Mcvay & The Rams last season as well.

Or that it might be good for young and developing linebackers to have a veteran who knows the defense on their team, especially during camp.

I honestly don’t know. McVay clearly isn’t stupid, but I don’t know if him or Snead take the linebacker position seriously at all. IMO, we would’ve won it all last year if we had even a top 10 guy at the position.

I think Reeder was brought back for depth. I don't believe mcSnead wants him starting but it might be nice having him on the bench in case someone gets hurt. I get the hate but he has made some plays for us. Again.... just depth.
