Actually statistically their strength of schedule at the end of the season was just a few points below the Rams one of the toughest. They played well against the good teams and poorly against poor teams. They just have the perfect makeup for a team that gives the Rams trouble. Speedy wide receivers who can run after catch, decent oline, stout DL and mobility at QB
Don't forget their secondary.
Wow.

When Chuck Bednarik denied Jim Taylor the end zone in the Packers last ditch drive.
A little before my time but I've read about it.
Yeah me too read about and watched on YouTube. Plus there was a Lombardi made for TV movie back in the 70’s with Ernest Borgnine and they showed actual NFL Film of that game.

This isn’t any better.

You need to practice on Reddit or some other pages before you come here. This is low effort. This is truly JV stuff.
During the chat I put David Ray on ignore along with his two STD's I could determine.

I think you may be responding to one.

I can not tell you the huge change of enjoyment I got doing so.

I can tell when some are just frustrated yet a contributor.

Some are trying, and succeeding, in owning the moment. And they are successful. Fun factor quickly decreases.

I highly recommend the practice or give it a try. You can un-ignore them for more abuse if you wish.

Maybe my pessimism is my form of a good luck charm.
Some people have a lucky tee shirt.
I like to rant.

They have some big ass pass catchers. If they had a QB that could consistently drive the ball down the field they’d be a real problem.
I agree completely. I actually think they would be a real problem with a difference-maker on the D-Line and an upgrade or two on the O-Line.
We can say what we want as homers for our own team, but there's a reason that we played the Panthers twice to a 1-1 record with a total point differential of 0!

I'd go as far as to say that the Rams defense is the only unit that seriously played better than in the 1st game!

Stafford was just a hair off in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and that was all that was necessary for the Panthers to hang around. Puka saved him from another 2-pick game; Stafford was 10-21 at one point after starting like 9-9 or 10-10.

They were very efficient running the ball in the 1st half especially. McVay maybe could have run it a touch more there, but it wasn't horribly skewed; pass-to-run was like 21-17 around halftime.

Puka dropped a sure TD as well, which is very unusual for him. I've come to expect him to be clutch as per usual.

The real takeaway for me is that even with all of that, we still won. We are literally good enough that we could end up stumbling our way to another Super Bowl title without ever putting a complete game together representative of our potential!

Our boys on O made the plays when they really needed it.

McVay's run/pass balance was only an issue because of the 6-play drive right before halftime that ended in a 4th & 3 turnover on downs in the red zone due to an incomplete pass (after having runs go for 7, 8, 7, and 1 yards, respectively). He then followed that up with a three-and-out to open the 3rd quarter where three straight passes to Devonte fell incomplete.

The defense stopped three 4th down conversion attempts, forced 3 punts, a field goal, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, 8 QB hits, and had a pick. All of which served to greatly mitigate our four punts, an interception, a blocked field goal, and a failed fourth down conversion in the red zone!

Yeah, we're good even when we don't REALLY play great ball!

As to the refs... I'm convinced that there was a large sum of money put down by some important people in Vegas betting the Rams wouldn't cover the spread lol
A million missed calls. One that made me the most angry was the Landman targeting call. He put his shoulder right into Hubbard’s chest. It was a textbook hit. Such a terrible call.

If we are talking about the same play, broski, while I agree that the targeting call was bad, landman did actually lower his helmet enough to go helmet to helmet with the receiver...striking the receiver in the chin area at a slightly upward angle.

Calling it by the book that's definitely a penalty Even though in real time it absolutely looked to be chest to chest!

I will say I could see the argument that the receiver wasn't defenseless because he actually had turned up field and was trying to gain more yards i.e. completed a "football move." Not sure how one is defenseless in that scenario.

I was actually nervous several times toward the end of the game due to some past breakups by our DBs...they were all clean and the refs called it correctly! That was nice to see after the BS PI in the end zone towards the beginning of the game.

The Panthers were a tough match up for us with the big WRs, and IMO best CB duo that we played. All week I said I didn't care what it looks like, just win. We got it done.
Carolina actually matches up really well with us. They have a great group of DBs and they have a big ass group of pass catchers. I think if we played them 10 times, damn near every game would go down to the wire.
