I woke up, saw the score, read the report and figure we got a pretty poor performance (all round) out the way and came away with a big win on the road! Go Rams

I am glad you all survived watching it, and cheered the winning catch! It must have been heart pounding! Which is what it’s all about out :-)

In the past two seasons, we played fantastic and lost in heartbreaking fashion. This team won and that was probably our only bad performance. I fancy us to beat the next team, and the one after, no matter who we play because we will come together and play great football

I was relatively calm during the last Rams drive. We all know Stafford will do it more often than not. They moved the ball pretty easily.

I was more nervous with the d having to close out the game. But they did it pretty easily in the end.

But for the rest of the 2nd half before that, it just felt like another Rams loss. Even before that, when Mcvay went for it on 4th down instead of taking the easy points with a fg. I actually couldn't believe it when they snapped the ball. Completely changed the game.

Davante has had trouble holding onto the ball all year. Had that issue again today.
Yes he has. He’s been fantastic in the red zone once he and Stafford got on the same page, but his arms are a bit shorter between the numbers.

I also notice he runs like a vet—more and more horizontal after the catch, looking for the sideline. It’s not necessarily a knock, just an observation when it comes to older receivers in general. The angle degree between straight vertical and completely horizontal starts to favor the latter. He made a catch in the middle of the field yesterday and covered more ground getting to the sideline than he did getting upfield (YAC).

One on one, though, he’s still savvy and talented. That’s why he’s such a tough matchup in the red zone.

Yeah me too read about and watched on YouTube. Plus there was a Lombardi made for TV movie back in the 70’s with Ernest Borgnine and they showed actual NFL Film of that game.
I remember that movie (vaguely)!

Lombardi in a team meeting: This is a football.
Max Magee: Coach, do you think you could take it a bit slower?

I don't like the Bears matchup for us. At all. Worst matchup I think in the playoffs for the Rams. So not only does SF need to lose, but they need to fuckin lose. :laugh3:
Agree 100%.
I have been saying for the last month that caleb is one scary mofo. He’s the newest version of the lamar jackson prototype.
Williams is already a better QB and just as athletic. The guy has a cannon for an arm.

Plus, the Rams have played everybody else.

Coker is going to be an elite #2 receiver in this league, McMillan is the current day Megatron, and Bryce Young was a #1 overall pick. This is not a bad team we beat.

This was never going to be an easy game. No games in the playoffs are easy. But we won, and the offense and defense, though they struggled at times, were strong when it mattered today.

It's a celebration thread, guys. Celebrate today, focus on the next team next week. That's all you can do in the playoffs.

Yeah, Carolina’s record isn’t a function of not being good, but rather being inconsistent. Plus, styles make fights and they match up well with us, especially with Dotson out.

Sure is NICE waking up with that "winner's" feeling this morning. Knowing that threre's another game coming next week and that I might have another heart attack watching it is what we all live for.
With that, when is Stafford gonna stop missing those wide open TD throws ??? Had 2 yesterday.
How does winning by 3 scores feel as a Rams fan?
I wanna know !!!! :part: :helmet: :dizzy:

I had a health / PE teacher in sixth grade in 1969-70.
He did the same thing with the football.
And showed B&W reels of Adolph Rupp UK basketball.
The funniest thing he did, though, in trying to show off his rebounding prowess, was snatch a missed shot and proceed to knee it out of bounds as he drew his legs up to emphasize what a monster he was.
After that, we called that the Bussell Rebound.
