I wouldn't worry about anything.

McVay, famously, shows NOTHING in preseason.

These preseason games are the NFL's dirty little secret that they charge full prices to see. Biggest SCAM going. These preseason games amount to adding a few extra players on the roster that spend most game days INACTIVE.

95% of the determination McVay will make on Bennett and Simpson is in practices and scrimmages, not this meaningless slop.

Any of us old time Ram fans that still look forward to and like these preseason games, it's not the 70s and 80s anymore. Those games had a modicum of entertainment value.

Simpson looks so much more dynamic than Bennett.
Bennett didn't look good...although in his defense, the play calling looked VERY conservative when he was in.
I can't remember ever being impressed with Bennett since he's been a pro.
I don't remember him stringing three good passes together in our preseason games.
And his stats always look very pedestrian

Yeah McVay isn't even calling the plays and we've heard him say the play callers have a limited playbook which we can all see watching these games.

If you heard the sideline interview of Coach Shula he said today was more about the operation, getting players on and off the field, not so much about executing plays but getting everyone communicating.

Makes sense from what I’m seeing.
I hear ya I’m just comparing it to last preseason as well as the other preseason games this year. You can still work on getting in and out of the huddle and call stuff other than safe bootlegs.

I feel like Jimmy is going to be back in the building very shortly. The playcalling today makes it seem like they aren’t trying to get either one of these guys ready to be QB2. Especially after watching several other preseason games. These other QBs have gotten the opportunity to cut it loose. Maybe it will change vs New Orleans.
My read after today's game is that they're comfortable with Bennett as QB2. They didn't need him to show much and he only had two drives. It didn't feel like they needed him to prove anything for his position.

Sorry I didn't watch Dean Connors' touchdown, but I was watching (the recorded version) of literal history in the Cardinals/Cubs game. I'm back, but I'm still in stunned disbelief. The Rams winning and looking good, even in preseason, would just be the cherry on top of a delicious sundae...on Saturday.

Not really.

For the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Andy Reid opted to sit established veterans.

Well in comparison to what the Rams approach was Chiefs we’re definitely playing more of their main players on defense early. Don’t need to google something that can clearly be seen. Chiefs sat their offensive skill position players but definitely had starters in early on defense. Most of the first quarter when Bennett was playing.
