I like the term and money. Fair market value, and with the quantum of guaranteed money, we should have flexibility to move on in the shorter term if desired, which I think is important, as I am not as high on Lake as many are, and do think we can/should upgrade on him, just like at every position really, if the opportunity arises - we have two 1st rounders, I think we should go BPA, and a player like Caleb Downs could make Lake expendable when you think about cap allocation. I think Lake is good, perhaps very good, but not great, and until I saw how our depth behind him was not even close to replicating what he brings, did not view him as a must re-sign if the money wasn't friendly.
