Nice! You rarely see a guy extended after being injured, but Lake missing time showed how valuable he was.

IMO there's only 1 or two draft picks that have a shot to replace him. All our CB can be replaced in the draft. I was pretty confident he was gonna be ours again.Wasn't so sure this would happen before I saw this defense without him.

It will be exciting to see how/if the defense returns to form once he returns. I don’t know if we can get back to the level of the first Seattle game, but I expect improvement. Right now, it’s unsustainable.

Him and landman is our leader for defense. Landman his our lb leader. And lake our secondary leader. When they sync up our defense on another level. Good signing. I like it alot.

Good news. They must really think a lot of Lake since they hardly ever resign safeties. Then again Lake is definitely in the new mold of DB's. I like the combo of him and Wallace especially when we match up with a team like the 9ers. Lake, Wallace, and McCollough can be moved around the secondary.
