When the link is available I'll post this idiocrasy, but some fool on Get Up is saying the best option for the Jets is to trade for Matt Stafford now. He actually thinks we would consider taking picks and tanking for Caleb Williams, even after our week 1 victory :eyeroll:

It was Mike Tannenbaum’s suggestion; and most of the other commentators strongly disagreed.

Fuck "Get Up". They spent their entire 2 hour show discussing NOTHING but the Jets and Rodgers. Get Up belongs on YouTube as a paid podcast streaming program, not ESPN. Greenberg has turned into a compete fucking joke and I actually feel somewhat sorry for his guests on the show because they get drawn into his personal obsession with the Jets. What ESPN forgets is that NOONE outside of NY gives a flying rats ass about New York teams, NOONE! Fuck Tannebaum, if you want Stafford then we want Garret Wilson, Quinnen Williams and 3 1st round draft picks, there, put an end to that non-sense. By the way, did I say "Fuck Get Up"?

I agree. Greenberg has gotten worse through the years. He’s complete trash now.

So Stafford is going to want to play behind that offensive offensive line?

Again, it was only Tannenbaum; and no one thought it was a good idea.

In fact, Mike Greenberg proceeded to push and roll Tannenbaum's chair (with that fat-fuck still in the chair) off to the side of the studio for a Time-Out. I thought it was funny.

What I did find frustrating is that no one mentioned the cap implications to the Rams for trading Stafford.

Anyway is this the time to sign Carson Wentz or trade for Jameis Winston? Maybe Matt Ryan would come out of retirement.

I think Colt McCoy makes the most sense.

Good or Bad ... Right or Wrong ... I think the Jets stick with Wilson at QB.

The Name-Guys out there, including the ones you mentioned, plus QBS like Foles, Flacco and Newton are either done or have too big a name in my opinion. New York Media is stupid-tough. New York fans are stupid-insane. The first three-and-out or bad turnover, they will be screaming for one of these Names.

McCoy is a good veteran career-back-up; and his skill set includes a little mobility that is similar to Wilson. The Jets could probably run the same plays with McCoy, if Wilson went down, or was so bad that he needed to be benched.

Trading for Winston would be the play, has the highest ceiling IMO and wont hurt the cap

Lol!!!!

New York Jets Quarterback Situation: 3 options for the Jets in the wake of Aaron Rodgers' injury

• Try to trade for Matthew Stafford… again: At 35 years old, Stafford still looks more than capable of leading an offense and produced five big-time throws in the Rams' win on Sunday. The issue is that the Rams likely won't want to trade their signal-caller after Sunday. In a weak NFC, the Rams will surely feel like they can be a playoff team with Stafford at the helm.

I have not watched any of these talking heads on ESPN for 10 or 15 years. I don't even get ESPN anymore is not worth the money.

Another sports’ media source that speculates on a trade without even mentioning the salary cap ramifications which, in this instance, makes a trade possibility a non-starter as far as I can tell.

No way they can stay with Wilson, he's so so bad. Half the backups in the league are better than him. Ryan is fairly cooked but I think he could be a decent game manager with them. The oline tho...

That’s a fact.

Wilson tried all he could to lose that game, but Buffalo wasn’t having it.

This Jets team is so good with the defense and skill players, it's malpractice to not try to bring in a QB. You have to at least call, Tom Brady and then after that...

There’s no scenario in which I’d trade Stafford to them without demanding at least two of their young stars plus premium draft picks.

So, yeah…sorry…not happening.

I don’t see how they don’t.

I’m honestly shocked that Wilson was still their #2.

Wilson is terrible.
I’d be pissed if I were a Jets player and they stayed with him.
