Milton superior talent? Why did he go in the 6th then?
I should have specified talent - physical talent.

I will say, Dart seems to be far more accurate coming out throwing short to intermediate. And accuracy, touch, being a single read guy and the foreignness of his offense were all marks against Milton that made him go in the 6th.

It sure seems like he's been able to put work on all those things since entering the league.

BTW, I think it's a real small sample size on Milton in the pros right now, I'm not advocating trading for him, just that, I think - although maybe he's not the leader Dart is - he's the better deal than Dart in terms of treasure you need to give up.

I imagine he loves Rourke but two injuries to the same knee is just really bad for projecting him. Whereas with Shough the injuries don't worry me all that much due to what they are. He may have bird bones or some shit, but could also just be bad luck and collar bones are easily broken if they don't fully heal.

My problem with Shough is he's a bit bland. I like my QBs to have a cocky streak, and the more competitive the better. But I can't deny he's making the throws and running that offense well on film.

I'm guessing that Pittsburgh starts a mini run on these guys who should be round 2-3 types. Might be that only Cam goes early and then that run starts in the 20s. Or maybe teams aren't as concerned as I think with that 5th year option and wait for round 2. Only thing I hope does not happen is Dart going early. But if it goes that way then it does improve our chances of other teams maybe reaching for a QB and players being pushed down.

Really looking forward to this draft though. It's going to be fun, just wish we were picking a little bit earlier.
It we were picking earlier than we wouldn't have enjoyed bashing the shit out of the Viqueens.

From Jourdan on QB (with Snead quotes):

The Rams are open to drafting a quarterback this April, but say they won’t reach for one and understand other teams might want to trade into the first round at their pick point (No. 26) for that player. Both Snead and McVay have previously expressed interest in bringing a young player in to learn from veteran starter Matthew Stafford, with the intent that the drafted quarterback one day start.

“Always open to drafting a quarterback,” Snead said. “Usually another team who gets into that more serious level usually drafts that player earlier than we (would).

“If a team really thinks that player is their next QB, it’s not like they’re going, ‘Hey, let’s wait till the middle of the second round. Let’s do it now.’ … If the right guy fell to No. 26, and maybe he’s the right guy for another team, they might want to move into the first round (and) draft that guy. So maybe that is better for the Rams than picking that ‘right’ guy. That’s how to honestly answer that question. And then to be honest about the dishonesty, if we were really looking at a QB at No. 26, we would probably say an answer like that.”

Snead added that keeping Stafford for at least one more season — especially in combination with a young roster that outperformed expectations for consecutive seasons — puts the Rams in a “win-now” scenario and if the draft falls toward a player who fits into that, they’ll select him.
Sounds like we aren't drafting one high, please let this be the case. This QB class sucks ass honestly for immediate impact ones.

All we have to I'd trade pick #26 to the Saints or Jaguars for their 2026 1st rounder. I can easily see the both of them with top 5 picks next year, probably one of them ends up with #1.
That's a hell of a gamble if we don't get a 2nd rd pick back which I can't imagine we would. I don't like that move unless we get the 2nd with it or maybe another 3rd and 4th rd pick to go with the 1st? Would suck ass to not have a pick until the 3rd round but we'd have 3 shots there plus 2 more in the 4th with that last scenario. Just spit balling.

A first next year is equal to a second round pick this year. So the trade partner would have to add something to the deal. A third or fourth maybe.

It would blow for this draft up not pick until round three but having two firsts next year would be really sweet.

I wonder what the forecast for the 2026 draft looks like. If it’s better than this one, it could be worth it.

I don’t see the Rams picking Dart.

He’s a classic case of rising up draft boards due to his position.

It definitely could. Honestly I'd probably be initially like fuck, but I'd eventually be comforted by the fact that McSnead have drafted really well outside of the 1st and even 2nd round. It would definitely be a ballsy move but one with obvious intentions of being able to secure a QB of the future come next draft. They did sacrifice a pick this year for Fiske. Maybe they are planning the reverse in a sense? You just never know what to expect with the Rams FO.

Didn't Josh Allen move up the draft based on his position?

And no, I am not saying Dart is Allen, although no one thought Allen would become what he has become.

Talking about QBs, don't these dudes look alike somewhat? Lol.....not saying we're drafting him but just having fun with this dumb shit. Apparently he claims to model his game after Stafford and Josh Allen.

The age doesn’t bother me. The injuries are a red flag though.
Yeah he projects to the pocket in the NFL which means if he can adjust to this level there's a reasonable chance he'll have a long career. So that extra couple seasons of fucking sorority bitches doesn't mean shit in the big scheme of things. In fact I look at what he's been through as a positive. He's not my dude in this draft at QB but I certainly appreciate his game.

This is always an evolving thought process for me and QBs.

Since none of these QBs are great, and drafting them comes with risk, if the Rams really want to draft a developmental QB they should just swing for the fences and pick Milroe. He’s boom or bust. His boom could be great. It may not have a great chance of happening, but is it really more of a gamble than any of the other available QBs?
